Another Jude Deveraux novel that is near impossible to put down.
I have never been disappointed in a Jude Deveraux book and this one is no exception. She is my all time favorite author. This book brings to life so many beloved characters along with those we love to hate, that it is nearly impossible to put down. The story revolves around a group of teenagers who have become heroes known as The Golden Sixโ from a small town in Calburn, Virginia, and how this has affected each of their lives. There is lots of mystery as well as romance. I loved this book, just like all her others and Iโm sure you will, too.

A good read, but no 'Knight in Shining Armor.'
Contrary to some of the bad reviews that I have been reading here, I did enjoy this book. In the beginning I didn't find much to like about Bailey. I have never liked passive 'walk on me, it's okay' people. But, it was interesting to see her grow into an independent and resourceful person. Matt, as a hero, was a little lacking in my opinion. He was okay but not up to Ms. Deveraux's usual gorgeous, take charge men. I found Jimmie's story intriguing but 'the Golden Six' storyline was a bit much. I just felt there were too many story lines going on and by eliminating the Golden Six, the book would have had a stronger, less confusing plot.

Wonderful Read with a Twist at the End
I have read this book several times. It is a favorite. The book is about the widow of a billionaire who is left the nothing but an old house and a note asking her to find the truth.I have read both the paperback and Kindle versions. My only problem is that the Kindle version has an extremely large number of words that have been runtogether. I would be happy to be able to correct alltheseerrors. (all these errors.)

Could not put this book down
Our experiences as a child are effects how we deal with life as we deal with life as adults being happy and positive adults. This story reveals characters that try to compensate for the negative events that responsible for their strengths and weaknesses. This book will hold your attention from it's beginning to the end. It's a page turner with a very intriguing story..Mmmm.

Shifting Genres?
Jude's new book is not the standard contemporary or historical that has made her so successful in the past. Instead, she's written something of a mystery and something of a coming into one's own kind of book with a dash of small town eccentricity thrown in. Instead of a romance novelist, the writer is maturing into a good novelist. The result, while not her best book, is nonetheless readable and interesting. However, her romance fans may not get the "fix" they're looking for here. In this book, the "hero" Matt Longacre is almost an afterthought - and as a result, we don't care for him the way we have her other heroes. All that said, I really enjoyed "The Mulberry Tree" although it's tone was rather sad. I loved Lillian/Bailey and just wish that her fictional life had been less harsh.

The Mulberry Tree
I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline which kept me gripped throughout. Another success for Jude Deveraux and I think it would make an excellent film.
