The Mask Omnibus Volume 1 (Second Edition)

Such a fun book. The book itself came in good quality, and I loved the comic. The art is amazing and brutal, while still being very funny.

Great comic in it's own right, and as a lifelong fan of the movie i'm happy to finally start reading the original work. NOTE: this is a very violent and bloody comic not meant for young readers the movie pretty drastically changed the tone to be family friendly. A direct adaptation would easily be R rated.

I read a couple issues here and there when I was younger, but never in order. The first 2 parts of this comic were incredible. Great art, great plot, lots of fun gore. It's also fun to see where a lot of the scenes from the movie came from (too bad they couldn't make the movie as bloody and violent as the comic). The 3rd story wasn't on the same level, in my opinion. Neither the art or the story blew me away. That being said, I highly recommend this collection for fans of comics, or fans of the 90's movie. It did take a month to get to my house, but it was worth the wait!

If you're a fan of The Mask I would definitely recommend.

It's was interesting to read the source material that inspired the movie. A LOT of changes were made to make the movie kid friendly. And these books ARE NOT kid friendly. Very violent, with dark humor. It dives into the depths of negative thoughts we all have had at one time or another and asks what would you do if given the power to make everything change as you wish it to be. And how power corrupts. Fun read.

Muy buen comic, me gustaría que sacaran una edición al español, pero muy buen cómic, muy diferente a la Película, y bien fuerte en algunos aspectos.

I love the Jim Carrey movie, but after reading this I think Netflix should pick up the I.P. and make this a show and follow the original storyline. Or make an animated series similar to Todd McFarlane's Spawn on HBO. My review for this comic is - must read. Encapsulating. Silly, dark, gruesome, gory - goodness. **Not for kids**
