This is an awesome leash. Disregard other reviews whining about the “second handle”, as it is simply a grip rather than another loop handle. This combination of nicely padded, comfortable loop handle and slidable grip that is adjustable up and down the leash length is ideal. When the entire 5’ of leader, plus the extra foot from the bungee is not needed, the grip handle makes it easy and comfortable to take up the slack and still remain in control without wrapping the undesired length. I have no trouble managing an 84# dog effectively, even under strain going into the dog park. It is well made, heavy duty, attractive and functional. It even washes in the washer without damage (clip the collar clip the the rope so the sound doesn’t drive you crazy) and is dirt resistant. You may be reading this and saying: “but my dog is trained and doesn’t pull, why would I need the bungee?” The bungee is a neat addition. My dog is trained well, but there are always moments, getting in and out the car, getting into the dog park or Deer that sometimes requires a tug. With this system, a tug is felt, but gently, and the message is transmitted without jerking the dog- BONUS! I have personally purchased 9 (yes, 9!) of these, giving most to friends and relatives. I have probably sold another 20 just from demonstrating it at the park. Satisfaction of all owners I know is 100%. Comparable leashes at big box pet stores retail for over $35. We have been through a number of leads over the years for our 2 dogs, this leash, however is the one I have been looking for. Will it last forever? Absolutely not, but it is incredibly durable and well crafted and for $10, the best value in leash I have ever encountered!

This really is a perfect leash. We have a 50 lb German Shepherd mix dog that we rescued and needed a strong leash for him. He has a high prey drive for squirrels, rabbits, and even other dogs and this leash has been perfect for him. I love the adjustable lower hold and the fact that you can move it to where you need extra grip. The one draw back was the chemical smel when we first got the leash, but this goes away inside of a week of use.

This leash works great for when you need control up close to the dog and when he is able to walk freely. My only ding comes in that the foam grip that moves up and down is a little thick for smaller hands. The overall leash is definitely made for big dogs. It is a sturdy leash with some weight.

It's a great looking and functional leash. The foam handle is designed to move freely up and down the leash which is very useful for controlling the dog at heel position with both hands or just one hand.

Sturdy leash with a padded handle and lower on the leash, a padded grip...2 places to hold. This is well made and comfortable to hold. Attachable is a separate short bungee leash that makes walking our canine being much easier. Very pleased with this purchase!!

This is a great leash. It is strong and durable. Stopped my 56 lb standard poodle from walking to far in front of me. You won't be disappointed with this item!

I had a similar leash without the bungee and loved it so I thought the additional bungee would be great. I haven't tried it yet but I'm concerned about the locking mechanism, its smaller in size and thickness than the leashes mechanism. Not really sure I would use the extension.

Great dog leash! I have a beagle puppy that loves to run and test out his amount of movement. He can’t chew through this leash and it’s light weight so he doesn’t notice it. Pro tip... buy a vest/harness to go with it. Also the bungee attachment is great at teaching him not to pull on the leash!
