Remote Head Key Compatible with Jeep Wrangler 2007-2017

So we all know that buying an aftermarket non OEM key can be fraught with possibilities of not ever working or packing up after a day or two. This key took the programming straight away and works perfectly after a few weeks of use, recommended this key

This product performs as described but if you only have one key fob you will need to attain your 4 digit code from the Jeep dealer and either have the dealer program it $$$ or have a locksmith with the software/hardware to program it for you $.

When I ordered this key I was not aware that you already had to have two working keys in order to program it. Before contacting the seller I went back to the product description and confirmed that this requirement was not mentioned by the vendor. I communicated with them a number of times and it was finally confirmed by them that I would have to pay a locksmith to program it for me. This would cost $100 or more and the Jeep dealer wanted over $250. So I am now stuck with an useless key or I can pay $100 or more. If I wanted to pay that much I would have bought one of the kits where you plug into the cars computer and you can program up to 8 keys your self. I am very disappointed with this vendor and will not do business with them again. Buyer beware, you are expected to have more knowledge of their service than is presented in the description.

Once I was able to get the key cut and programmed, it works very well. Don’t forget to get your security key/pin. If you don’t know it, they can give it to you for free at the dealer. This is definitely better than paying $400 at the dealer. The only issue is that the plastic face has fallen off/apart twice since I’ve bought it. A little superglue might be an order.

The key broke on the 3rd time starting the car now had to just pillars to start it

It identical to my jeep other key that broke. Jeep dealer only $75 Ace wants like 200 minimum. The programming is the expensive part

Update: Stopped working after sitting on keychain and not in use for 4 hours. Replaced battery and same, not working. Removed internal parts and can work so internal parts are not touching buttons properly. Wasted $75 now..... sucks Worked good on our 13 Wrangler JK. $75 at dealer to cut and program as we only had a single key.
