I stepped on one while up on a skyjack and snapped the top assembly bracket. my fault and nothing against the tool but, metal or reinforced plastic might be a better idea. there is no replacement blade set for this item. apparently you do 500 jacks and then just get another one. and lastly, i heard clicking sounds coming from the tool every time I cycled it and it stopped cutting all the wires. I took the 4 screws out of the bottom of the tool and discovered 6 small pieces of cut wire had worked their way into the mechanism. I got them out but found that the tool is lubricated with a Vaseline type substance. after extracting the wires and replacing the lubricant the tool began functioning perfectly and.... no more clicking sound.
