MMMMMM goood! But too many $$$ for too little Postum!
Postum tastes the same : comforting, mellow, the sweet malty savor that I remember. My mother loved this drink -- and I am re-loving it too. The delivery was quick , well-packed , and all good. Only complaint, 12.95 for a very small amount. If you make a mugful you need 2 teaspoons , so it's good for a cup a day for a month, approximately. Wish it came in a bigger jar, and for a bit less money. However, I will buy it again!

We like it, easy on digestive system
My dad laughed at me when he saw I bought Postum. He said we used that during WW2 when we couldn't get coffee. My wife has seizures and has to avoid coffee. And I have always been sensitive to caffeine. Even decaf coffee still contains some caffeine I can promise you, I can tell. This is a decent replacement for coffee. I really like coffee, but had to give it up. The taste is likeable and I put condensed canned milk in mine, no sugar. This is a good alternative for people who can't drink coffee. It's also easy on your stomach.

Love the taste!
I love the taste of Postum, closest to coffee in my opinion. The only thing we can buy locally is Cafix, which my husband likes OK but I think Postum tastes much better. It’s hard to get it to dissolve, you just have to use really hot (I.e. boiling) water and that helps. It’s a bit pricey but if it’s for my health it’s worth it.

Safety Concerns
Was disappointed years ago to see Postum go off the market so I was thrilled to see Postum for sale on Amazon. A little shocked at the price, but I don’t buy instant anything usually. Just received my jar of Postum and there wasn’t a safety seal on the jar. As bad as I’d like to make a cup not knowing if it was tampered with I guess I’ll be disposing of it. It is non-refundable. Guess I’m back to coffee.

Postum
It taste like coffee but does not have the caffeine in it. It has a delicious taste if you are not a hot chocolate drinker.

Fair - But Original Flavor Not the Original
I am not a coffee drinker but had Postum in my younger years 1960s -70s because my father drank it. A number of years ago I was looking for a low cal substitute for hot chocolate, and found Postum somewhere and used it to make a 1 part Postum and 1 part hot chocolate drink. By the time I had rediscovered Postum, the label had already been sold to Eliza's Quest Foods, but it tasted the same and the label looked the same as I remembered. Recently I wanted to replenish my supply, having part of one bottle left. I ordered the current version from Amazon, but it is different, although still owned by Eliza's Quest Foods. Pictures below are the new item on the left and my old Postum bottle on the right. The old label is very much like the original from my youth, the new one is changed. They are both 8 oz bottles, but my old one is larger. My old formula is darker in color. The nutrient percentages are the same on the label, however, the ingredients listed are different. My old bottle lists roasted wheat bran, wheat, molasses and Maltodextrin from wheat in that order. The new bottle lists ingredients as wheat, wheat bran, molasses and wheat starch. Note that the main ingredient has switched from roasted wheat bran to wheat, and wheat bran is now listed second (not roasted). Also the starch ingredient has changed from corn based (which is gluten free) to wheat starch. I am not sure why they changed the formula but it is different. I did a side by side test. My old Postum is a mellower, richer flavor than the new formula which tastes flatter and less robust. The new blend still will provide a lower calorie blend with a part of hot chocolate, however, it is not the same - disappointing, but still in my view better than the more bitter tasting Pero option.

Love It
This stuff is delicious. Tastes like hot chocolate. My only complaint is that it's difficult to figure out the calories per serving. I know it's not much, though. Product is a little on the pricy side, but a couple of teaspoons is enough for a large coffee cup. I will be ordering more soon!

Great coffee alternative at a great price.
Arrived intact, great price. It's a great alternative when I've had enough real coffee for the day. It's not full of sugar like cocoa, but is a comforting, warm drink.
