Best Money Can Get You! Infefinitely
EDIT: The company reached out to me about the issue of dual aptX audio. They have given me a workaround for those who have currently brought the Homespot on this date or earlier: March 19, 2019. Ever since the company has given me this workaround, they have told me that they will soon have it fixed so this step won't ever be necessary. Those who are on the same boat as I am, here are the steps to have the dual aptX audio working: 1) Paired both headphones (P1 to headphones A, P2 to headphones B) and have dual stream going 2) Force headphones A into pairing mode 3) Press P1 to reconnect to headphones A 4) Both P1 and P2 should be in dual streaming again If above doesn't solve the dual aptX issue, continue to step 5. 5) Force headphones B into pairing mode 6) Press P2 to reconnect to headphones B 7) Both P1 and P2 should be in dual streaming again I'm going to start off saying that I own both the notorious Genki from the Kickstarter/Indiegogo project and this Homespot bluetooth adapter. I spent a couple weeks using them both equally and I'm going to post an honest review. I have made a longer post on the r/Nintendo page on Reddit if you are interested. However, since you are on this Amazon page looking at reviews, I'll try my best to keep it short and simple. Pictures included. Pros: *Slim form factor. I can plug this adapter in and slip it to a case, in fact, it works well with the Satisfye grip. I can set it down knowing the adapter won't break off at the USB-C connection, unlike Genki that sticks out like a sore thumb. *Works the same as the Genki. Really. It really does. I use a Sony WH-1000XM3 as my main driver, and I have the Sennheiser PXC550. Both of these (if paired and sync'd by itself) work well with the aptX codec. I don't have any bluetooth devices that uses the aptX-LL codec, so I can't vouch for that. *The price. You get the USB-C female to USB-A male adapter, a mic, a small and nifty travel bag, and an extended warranty card. For this price, it's hard to beat compared to Genki (adapter only is $49.99, ouch. want the accessories? Fork over $20.). I don't own the Gulikit nor even looked that way, so I don't know much about it. Cons: *Not part of a con, but kind of glad it's the way it is: inserting the adapter is easy. Removing it out of a USB-C port is like trying to separate something that got glued together. Not saying it's bad, but I have a feeling I might rip out the port with the adapter one day. *The adapter when connected is wobbly. The Genki I can understand why it's the way it is, but this adapter is made to sit flush with the Switch, yet, the adapter has some play. Rather odd. *Not case friendly. Even the thinnest case like Skull&C.O. wouldn't allow such clearance. *This is suffered also by the Genki, but as I stated in the Pro section, when you connect two bluetooth devices that both support the aptX codec, it seems that the adapter cannot handle outputting the audio to both devices. My 1000XM3 would work somewhat fine with occasional choppy audio, but the PXC550 would crash and burn, static, choppy audio, and serious lag. Bottom line, this is just a Genki without the power passthrough, slim form factor, and comes with the essentials besides the stand, which in all honesty, if you picked up a Hori Nintendo Switch stand, you're fine.

I can tell I am going to really ENJOY this!!!!
I could tell right away that I was going to be very happy with this purchase. When your unboxing a new purchase you can normally get a good idea of the quality if the product based on materials used for packing. This product was packed very well. This was the easiest set up for any blue tooth device I have ever used. I read the instructions, plugged the device into my switch and it connect as soon as I turned on my ear buds, just like instructions said it would. Its not normal that I don't have to go back to the directions at least one time while setting anything up. That was the case this time. I plugged it in, turned on my wireless ear buds and it connect to them right away. No problems no hassle. It literly took longer to get the package out of my mail box then it did to set it up. I really like how you can connect to 2 diffrent Bluetooth devices. Thought it was cool that it comes in so many diffrent color combinations. I have not used the attachment to use it when my switch is in the cradle yet. This feature will be used often for me while I am playing in bed and my wife us asleep next to me. It was just as easy to connect a second pair of ear buds to the divice as it was to connect the first pair. This is going to come in handy with my children. I have connect two diffrent blue tooth headphones so far. I used my Samsung Galaxy ear buds. I also connected to a pair of ear buds called Black Widow I think. Connected at the same time the sound quality was just as good as if it was coming from my Samsung Note 10+ so I am very happy with the sound as well. Will definitely be looking for this company in my future purchases. Very happy with there product. Best thing I bought off Amazon all month lol. I am a happy switch user right now!!!!😄😄😄

It works well and is awesome.
I had some trouble getting it to pair initially, but got it to pair without having to contact support, and it hasn’t had any trouble auto-pairing since. It is a very slim profile, but I cannot use it and my grip case at the same time BECAUSE it fits so flush to the Switch. There may be some grip cases out there where this is not the case; if yours is completely uncovered at the bottom, then this would work. Mine, the grip case does clip over part of the bottom (ButterFox grip available on Amazon) so I have to pop it off to use this adapter. Just be aware your Switch may have to be naked. I don’t experience any noticeable latency, but I have only used it with Apple AirPod Pros. Do make sure that you are buying the adapter model FOR YOUR SWITCH MODEL. I have noticed people saying they had to shave plastic off to make it fit into their Lite, or conversely that it was too small for their Switch. There are two sizes, folks! There is a model that fits only the Switch LITE, and it comes in three colors to match the three Lite colors. Then there is a bigger one for the regular Switch that comes in several colors. Don’t order strictly on color preference, make sure you also have the right model to accommodate your pick. I bought the gray Switch Lite adapter for my gray Switch Lite and it fits perfectly, no shoving or shaving required. As it is, although I was raging out for about an hour attempting the initial pairing, since then it has worked perfectly and I will absolutely buy this again when I add a full-size Switch to my collection. Why Nintendo couldn’t shell out a little more to license Bluetooth capability is classic Nintendo, always behind the times. But since they didn’t, it’s awesome that this product exists.

Great device once I figured out the user error.
Received this kit and was super excited to put it to use. Very minimalist design with great functionality. I gave it to my teenager to set up, but that didn't go so well. After failing to read the instructions and short cutting the process he couldn't get it to sync. I tried right after without removing the adapter to no avail. I took the adapter out and contacted HomeSpot for assistance. They were very quick to respond with great instructions/questions on what I needed to do. I followed them to the letter and had the adapter working in no time. I'm not sure what my son did, but it wasn't right. The directions provided in the email were exactly as described originally. Since getting it set up, it works great. Switches from my sons airpods to my Seinhauser ear phones with no issue when playing solo. We haven't tried to use the adapter for simultaneous play yet, but I expect no issues. Great product at a great price! The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the fit. It has a little wiggle when installed in the Switch, but it not enough to worry about damage or it falling out.

Works, mostly. Great Customer Service!
EDIT 10/21/2020: I am increasing my rating to 5 stars. While initially the Homespot would not work with my Cowin SE7 headphones directly, the seller not only gave me a full refund, but worked diligently to correct the issue with firmware updates. They sent me two, the first didn't work, but the second solved the problem! Not only did these guys provide top notch customer service, they stand by their product 100%. The quality of customer service they provided to provide a product that is usable is the best customer service I have received in years! Maybe other companies will take your quality service as an example. Thank you so much for your support HomeSpot! I bought these to use with my Switch. It came highly rated from several online reviews, so I took the plunge and ordered one and a set of wireless headphones. The Cowin SE7 wireless headphones do not work 100% with this. This is the only reason I am giving 4 stars on some categories. When I contacted customer service they responded within 24 hours and worked hard to reproduce the problem I am having. When they were able to reproduce the problem as well as perform other tests they were able to determine the Cowin SE7 headphones have the same results whether it is mine or theirs. The problem I have been facing: The SE7 headphones will connect but receive no audio until the second channel on the Homespot is connected to another Bluetooth device. Upon further tests it was discovered that the other Bluetooth devices could connect and receive audio without the second channel needing to be connected. So, while it works with the SE7, it takes a few extra steps to get them to fully operate. These steps are required each time if you want to use your SE7 headphones. Homespot customer service are working on a fix and will let me know when it has been done. Bottom line, this is a great, small profile, portable product and, while it works, it may not work with your Bluetooth device. So far, the SE7 is the only device that I have that it will not work correctly with. The customer service has been top-notch and provided a full refund until they find a fix.

Works With Android Tablet!
I bought this to use with my Android tablet (TCL NXTPaper 11 Plus running Android 15). When my family goes on road trips, my wife and I typically use my tablet to watch movies after we have put the kids to bed. We use headphones so we don't bother the kids, but have had to use wired headphones with a splitter, or just share one pair of BT earbuds. We have tried other BT transmitters that can broadcast to 2 pairs of headphones, but they were bulky, required extra wires, and could be difficult to connect to at times. This transmitter is so slick, and small, and convenient. Even though my tablet is obviously not a Nintendo Switch, I am happy to report it works great with this transmitter! I have paired this transmitter with 2 pairs of earbuds - Nothing CMF Buds Pro 2, and some generic cheap ear buds. Pairing worked instantly, and I was able to play a movie on the tablet with sound going to both sets of earbuds at the same time. Again, I was relieved that this worked. The product info talks a lot about specific audio codecs and I was nervous my cheap earbuds would not support those codecs. Thankfully, even the cheap ear buds work just fine. I love how low-profile this product is. Fortunately the case for my tablet does not cover any part of the edge where the USB-C port is, so I can leave my tablet in the case while I use this.

Functional, but some hiccups.
This is a usb-c bluetooth manager. The headset is paired to this device, and that works as indented. I could not get the headset microphone to work with two different headset, which was the whole point of this module, so -1 star there. However the local microphone works with a button press, which makes it much better than the nothing option before with switch. And the mic is not that bad for pickup across the room. The other down side -1 star is that it is usb-c and plugs in to the bottom of the switch, which means it needs to be moved around with docking/undocking, or it takes up the usb-A slot that usually gets used for recharging the extra controllers, so some logistics to overcome. Maybe take the same hardware and spread along full the bottom of the switch and have it stay in while docking/undocking. IDK. There's a Switch 2 now, so probably irrelevant at the point.

Grate Quality in a Small Package
Now I won't lie, I honestly wasn't expecting much when it came to the Homespot Bluetooth adapter for the Switch. But what I got was way better than I could ever imagine. The audio quality is so clear and crisp to the point of superseding the Switch's native output. My positive notes - Although the device is small, it comes with a good quality pouch that not only holds the adapter with its USB accessory, it can also hold a few lose Switch games - It is super easy to use and connect - The adapter comes with an option to sign up for a 6-month warranty - The adapter output is very similar in quality to Dolby Atmos (large open-world games such as Skyrim and The Legend of Zelda showcases this the best.) - Even though my headphones are not Bluetooth headphones are not BT 5.0, the audio quality is still incredible My nit-picky issues - The adapter may be small, but it is incompatible with stander Switch cases - When the adapter is plugged in, it is impossible to charge the Switch (in or outside of the dock) - If the switch is placed in sleep mode, the adapter will shut off and disconnect any device - the USB-C plug itself feels a bit insecure (but that may just be me or my Switch) Although they did not have a color option that matches my Blue/ Neon Yellow joy-con controllers, I still highly recommend this adapter. It has a good build quality, the audio output is incredible, and the price is just right for what you get. The only other thing I would recommend (for those looking for the absolute best) is that you pick up a pair of noise reduction headphones in order to fully take advantage of the Homespot aptX future.

amazing
I’ve been using this product for a few months and I love it, it came just as described and is easy to connect. Just some things to consider, the lowest volume is a little bit louder than I expected and the light that turns on when it pairs can be a little distracting. Those are just small things, but other than that it does the job!

Super easy dual bluetooth audio pairings, AND not just for the Switch!
This product blew my mind. If you're on the fence, just grab it. It allows you to connect up to 2 pairs of audio devices, and it works beautifully with my wireless earbuds (they only take up 1 of the 2 connections!). The wow-factor lies is in its tight and compact form, as well as how it can be used with other devices with a USB A/USB C port. I for example, currently have it plugged into my laptop, and it sits nice and flush against the edge, barely protruding more than the nano receiver for my mouse. Essentially, buy this, and you can easily set up a dual headphone/earbud combo enabling you to cleanly share the device audio with a friend. Definitely recommended. (Yes, my laptop has bluetooth, but it's definitely way quicker to just plug in the adapter and push the button to pair extra audio devices.)
