Review: Perfect - Perfect Review: Largely what you'd expect but weak on public transport - On the whole what you'd expect from lonely planet. Weaker than other books on public transport information, which made life more difficult than it could have been. But still would take it over any other guide

What can I say?
The content has too many annoying issues, I see numerous paragraphs are prefixed with "A", "j", "h". It is so disturbing to read the Kindle version. I contacted customer services to complain the situation and I was told they would get back to me in 1-2 business days. On the third business day I sent email to follow up with my case and I was never able to get further information from Amazon. What kind of crappy customer services? And I haven't verified everything, but at least I looked up in Internet to get many official web sites of the attractions in Istanbul. I noticed lots of discrepancy from what book has said. You need to know it is May 2015 edition very recent, but the information is outdated already.

disappointing guide
I was really disappointed with this lonely planet guide for Turkey. There's not enough if any overall maps. No language guide to reference from either. All of the hotels that do make it to this guide are way overpriced for what they are.

Another great Lonely Planet guide
Another great Lonely Planet guide. Very helpful to decide when to go and which places to visit even if you are taking a tour. Indispensable if you are making your own travel arrangements.

Comprehensive, accurate guide for Turkey
Just got back from a 10-day trip to Turkey. Like all Lonely Planet guides, found it very comprehensive and useful for our itinerary that included Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Alacati/Ephesus. It's a good frame of reference for restaurants, bars, hotels, etc. Like all travel guides, however, I think Lonely Planet guides are a good frame and it's always nice to supplement with local blogs, other travelers, local Turks, etc.
