Amazon Essentials Women's Cotton Cushioned Crew Socks, 10 Pairs

I’m genuinely impressed with these Amazon Essentials Women’s Cotton Crew Socks. I have size 8 1/2 feet so I wasnt sure whether to get the 6-9 or the 8-11. Based on other reviews I chose the 6-9. They are a tad snug, but not in a completely bad way. I do get shallow lines in my skin and my feet can feel a little itchy for a minute when I finally take them off at the end of a long day, but they feel like a nice, firm, warm hug as long as I'm wearing them. Not what I expected, but I like it! I am also pleased with the overall quality. The color is a nice rich black and the lines are even. I actually do feel some cushioning on the bottom, which was a pleasant suprise. It isn't the kind of super-thick cushioning that will bunch up and get uncomfortable while walking. I'm not sure how to describe it, but the bottoms feel great on my feet! I'm pleased with the price as well. Normally I'd pay about 50% more for around 40% fewer socks. As for texture, they are reasonably soft, without being made of the kind of super soft material that gets holes in it after a dozen wears. I think they should hold up well, and will revise my review if they don't. So far, I'm very pleased with this purchase and will likely order again! UPDATE: Still love these and still wear them after 5 years. I have also bought more since then and have stopped wearing all of my old socks from other brands. Haven't gotten holes in these or had any problems. The cushioning does gradually decrease over time, but that is to be expected. I find that even the 5 year old ones are still more comfortable than an average sock.

Good quality socks. Cotton is soft and strong. I've had these for several years and I think I've tossed maybe one or two pairs for holes. I used them every day and I have bought them in different heights. Over time, the black starts fading, but these do last. I had no shrinkage at all, despite countless washes. I use a commercial washer and dryer, so these get a beating. Our building dryer gets HOT. They're warm in colder months. I wouldnt wear these in the summer, because they're too thick. They fit well and stay up. I fold mine over. The fit is good (I wear a size 8 shoe). I wouldn't say these are "cushioned", but they're not thin. Not much else to say about solid black socks, but I do recommend these for everyday wear.

I needed socks to wear in my hiking boots, and because I have slightly swollen feet I needed socks that have cushion, but not too much cushion. Amazon Essentials socks are the only ones I have found that are cushiony enough, but not too thick for some of my narrow boots. But sizing is an issue. I wear a size 9 shoe, so I ordered 8-12. In only tried on one pair of solid white socks, and they fit perfectly. Then I ordered two more packs in the same size. However, I found out that the socks with the colored heel are longer than the solid white ones, and the toe seam is sewn differently as well. The socks are bulkier, not as well fitting and annoying in boots. So I returned one pack (as the others already had been opened and washed) and ordered size 6-9 socks in black. They fit perfectly, just as the solid white socks in the larger size. The only difference is that the black (smaller) ones are a little bit tighter in the ankle area than the bigger size. For me this isn't a problem, but I could imagine this being an issue for someone with swollen ankles or bigger calves. All in all they are very good socks. They seem to be of decent quality, but Amazon should ditch the ones with the colored heel. They are pretty, but they are definitely not smooth or well fitting in the toe area. The polyester content in these is higher too (than in their solid colored counterparts).

These are great!! Especially for about a buck per pair. I'm really picky about ankles. I hate socks that try to "stay up" with a tight band at the top. These have well-distributed compression up the ankle so they really do stay up without pinching at the top. Soft and conform well to my feet too.

These socks have been great so far. I am womens size 9.5 and my daughter is 8 or 8.5 and we split this pack. They are just the right thickness for my liking, not too thin where I feel like I could poke a toe nail through it and it doesn't make my shoes feel construct. I have thicker calves so I tend to fold down taller socks and even rolled or folded down they aren't too tight. I would recommend these if looking for a higher crew sock.

These socks are good for one season. Wash them before wearing them because they are linty. These have been worn exactly 4x. They are not thick and not thin but great for ankles if your ankles get cold. They feel very comfortable for daily wear but they do ball up as u can see

These are lovely socks, a good fit and very comfortable. They are nice and soft and are a good length both in the foot and up the leg. Good elastication and they wash up well too. Well worth the money and I will definitely buy them again.

My feet feel like they are in fire when I wear them with with boots, might have to double sock for a while. Otherwise quality is great and they look good.
