I like the illumination of this switch. It is very faint, but does not look tacky as some other illuminated switches do. I also like the ability to backwire. (not backstab).

Great products! And they’re much cheaper here on Amazon than going directly to the manufacturer- which is crazy! How do I know this you ask? Great question. That’s because I set out to change all of the light switches and outlets in my house and submitted a rather large order to Legrand. I did this without checking Amazon first. After installing most of the items it dawned on me…I should check Amazon. Viola! I couldn’t believe the prices I was seeing. I ordered a few items needed and once received I realized…Yep! Same exact products .

People complain these arent bright. They arent supposed to be. They give enough light for you to be able to locate the switch. They arent intended to light up any kind of space. With that said I love these. Modern look and they help people find the switches. I did a trail of these in 2 rooms and decided to go ahead with another order of 26. Great upgrade for older houses! Helps give it a slightly more modern feel without going with some crazy expensive wifi switch.

Changing out old wall switches and wanted the Decora rectangle w/locator light. Basic and easy switch to install. Locator light is a perfect small point of light to... locate the switch in the dark but not light up the room. Exactly as described and exactly what we want. Not a night light. (why would anyone want a 'night light' at a switch that illuminates the room is beyond me... just get a dimmer light fixture or bulb and leave it on if you want light all the time. Then you don't need a switch anyway.) Only downside would be using in a bedroom if you want absolute darkness. The point of light from the locator will be like a star on the horizon. Which is kinda neat and clever, eh?

We wanted just enough of an indicator light to be able to find the switch in the dark, and this does the trick. It's dim enough that it doesn't bother you when the lights are out, but it gives off just enough light to find the switch. As other's have mentioned, it does have a different finish and action than other brands like Lutron and Leviton, but that doesn't cause a problem for us when it's installed as a single switch.

Works well, LED could be a little brighter.

Have purchased many Legrand Light Switches. This one in particular has a tendency for the "nightlight" to go out in a short period of time (3-6 months or more). All Legrand light switches have issues (e.g., warping of toggle switch) and I have slowly replaced many of them w/Leviton switches. Unfortunately for me, they have some good designs that have not been duplicated by quality USA made brands.

Works fine and deserves 5 stars. One possible improvement is to make the Guide LED more prominent. It is sunken and therefore barely visible when approaching from the side. A slightly protruding LED and perhaps green or blue color instead of white would certainly improve visibility.

Works well, solid switch and has a nice little light above the switch for ease in finding at night-time.

The installation is easy. locator light is bright enough, but quality control is questionable. The switch has scratch marks around the edges, seems like a return product instead of new in box. Update: Bought and installed in Oct 2021, now July 2022 the locator light is no longer work.

Illumination is very poor

This is not an illuminated switch. There is a micro spec led that is visable straight on and in super dark conditions. If you want the old orange glow on/off switch, this isn't it.
