It has a barrel key, where the other one had a magnetic key. I feel as if having an actual mechanical operation involving turning the key, as opposed to the little magnet, is a huge plus. Unless it fails because something breaks internally, I don't feel like I will have the same problem as the other lock. I would buy it again for sure. If you are looking for a product like this, get this one. It is comparable to others, but I can tell you from using others, this is better.
