do they rust after short use?

Painted the entire trim on our house over several days with one brush, its in very good condition with no rust. I wash my paint brushes well and have never had any rust or buildup in the bristles.

Are these good for varnish?

Yes very good. The bristles stay in tack and do a great job. I gave purchased several if these.

What size are the brushes?

The flat brush is 3 inches, the angle brush is 2-1/2 inches. These brushes work well for the price and better than some other brands sold in stores.

Do they both have long handles or is one of them a shorter one ?

You can see brush dimensions in the other pics also but the 2-1/2” angle has a longer handle where the 3” flat is a shorter one.
