I absolutely needed white to tie clouser minnows, and the pink and yellow are going to make all sorts of variations possible. However, people are right about it being delicate. The thread broke on my first clouser as I was whip finishing. Lucky, I had already put 3 whips on it individually, so it was no problem. I highly advise that you loosen your bobbin more than you otherwise would. This is a great value, but it's cheap thread. That's why I bought it though, I'm not complaining. It's also one of the few combos with multiple colors that you can easily find. It's also relatively strong for it's diameter which is good when you're starting out and learning how much pressure to use when tying.That being said, this type of thread is not what you really want to tie with. It is essentially a braided thread which means when you lay it on the hook, it keeps it's cylindrical "ropey" shape. In contrast, a lot of typical fly tying thread can be laid flat on your hook as your tie. This results in a less ropey texture and let's you create more even tapers and build less bulk on you fly.
