The illustrations are beautiful and it makes a lovely gift for any ocean loving individual, kid to adult (we like the info booklet as well for information on each animal!). My daughters love the ocean and this was a surprise gift. The record board that has all the animals on them and the animal chips (the squares with the animals' pictures on them) are thick and sturdy and not super flimsy. We've played with it every day since we got it, for 30, 40, 60 minutes at a time. He's even started making up his own "games" with the board and pieces which I love so much. It's extremely high quality too... the pieces and board are nice and thick, the box is super sturdy, the artwork is absolutely beautiful.
