## Description

Domeboro is an advanced version of Burow’s Solution, which was created to relieve the itching and inflammation of minor skin irritations by surgeon and anatomist Karl August Burow. Dr. Burow was also the inventor of plastic surgery and wound healing techniques which are still in wide use today. Dome Laboratories, modified Burow’s Solution for the modern marketplace. Dome Laboratories specialized in creating and refining treatments for allergies and skin conditions. So if you’ve been wondering about our name: it’s a blend of Dome (Laboratories) and Boro (for Burow’s solution). It may sound a little funny, but is intended to honor Domeboro creators and a long history of caring for and calming skin irritations and rash treatment. Use Domeboro on skin irritation caused by: Plant Rashes (a red streaky rash with blisters that typically follows an encounter with poison Ivy, oak, or sumac), Jewelry (contact dermatitis from jewelry, usually jewelry that contains nickel), Soaps & Detergents (contact dermatitis and allergic reactions caused by detergents, soaps, and fragrances in cleaning products), Domeboro is also great for soothing the itch and burn of athlete’s foot.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The directions say to discard the left over solution. Does anyone know why? I use it as a spray for a chronic itch and don't use the whole 2 cups**
A: The Box has a 1-800-986-0639 number for questions. And this one would be a good one. I would like to know too:)) Here's a hint I use. A packet is close to 1/2 teaspoon. Bayers directions is to disolve 1-3 pkts in 2 cups or pint of water. I disolve 1/8 teaspoon in 2 ounces or 1/4 cup of water which makes it double strength so you could disolve 1/8 in 1/2 cup water for the lower formulation or adjust accordingly to your preference of strength. I open a packet which is not water proof sealed just paper so the powder is pretty stable and not subject to collect moisture out of the air. And pour it into a wide opening glass vial I have for this purpose. I do have a 1/8 measuring spoon and these are avialable here on Amazon mine came in a set I bought for this purpose to have smaller sizes. But you could make smaller batches and use a small fine misting spray bottle just making it up more often or daily if you are worried about the stablity of the product once made up. Like you I have a wide area to apply a solution to and a spray bottle would help with that. As it is I just swab my skin two times a day several times over a 15-20 minute period and it has helped. Also on the box is given a www.bayercare.com address if you want to try to get an answer to your quesiton via e-mails. I know I found your question months after you posted but maybe this well help others with same question or pondering about a similar situation. It really shot my rash down fast and was surprised I'd never heard of this solution in my 60 plus years for plant rashes and other non-fungal, non bacteria, non organism caused. I look forward to trying it on the prickley heat rash I get some summers next year too.

**Q: Does It Work On Eczema?**
A: Works great on eczema that is weepy.

**Q: Can this be put into your ears? I suffer from recurring fungal infection in both ears.**
A: Yes, it is often used in ear infections, especially swimmer's ear. You use it as drops immediately after swimming as a preventative, and if you have an infection, you syringe out your ear with a warm solution of it twice a day. I was told to do this by a top ear doc in Boston, and have used it successfully four years.

**Q: Is there any difference in soaking one time for 40 minutes or two times for 20 minutes**
A: Basically no. I applied it to my mother for no more than 10 to 15 minutes. In days her condition cleared up. Remember every person is different

This product was great for my daughter. It works perfectly. I highly recommend it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing for eczema!
*by S***N on August 28, 2019*

When I got pregnant the first time, I also got eczema for the first time, probably because my immune system was suppressed. I only got eczema in my ear canal, so it was very itchy and irritating. It took 13 months of itching and going to several different doctors (all of whom told me it was swimmer's ear, when I hadn't been swimming in years), before someone finally saw it when I was at the doctor for an unrelated issue and cultured it. Bam! I had MRSA in my eczema ear, she prescribed very expensive ear drops, and I was cured. Shortly thereafter, I got pregnant a second time, and the eczema returned, this time in the other ear. I went to the doctors over and over about this again, they swabbed me and I had a secondary MRSA infection again (even if I resisted the urge to scratch during the day, I would dig at night, which would break the skin for the secondary infection). This time around, the expensive ear drops did nothing. The eczema returned midway through my pregnancy, and my youngest children just turned three to show how long I'd been dealing with this curse. I thought I was going to have to suffer with this pain for the rest of my life. I was searching around on Google, and I happened to find a link to a PubMed study that Burow's solution is effective against all kinds of external and internal ear infections, and even effective at breaking down the biofilm that MRSA creates. I found this product on Amazon, and decided to give it a shot. If it didn't work I was out $12, which is much less than I've paid in doctor visits over the years who never really did anything. I anticipated this product was going to sting when I first applied it, because my ear was extremely crusty and weeping, but it didn't at all. After the first use, when I was wiping the solution off the external part of my ear, I noticed the crusts had been debrided and come off. This was what usually happened when I debrided my ear with hydrogen peroxide prior, so I wasn't too hopeful yet. When I woke up the next morning and my ear wasn't newly crusted over, I was legitimately shocked and amazed. My ear was at the worst point it had been in for years prior to using the Domeboro, and the eczema had started migrating out of the ear canal and onto my external ear. I can't believe this did something that prescription ear drops could not. I have been using this product once a day for a week now, and the crusts that normally itch and drive me crazy have not come back since the initial application. I'm not waking myself up at night digging in my ears, and I don't have to deal with the constant bleeding and weeping. I honestly consider this product a godsend. I mixed half a packet in 4 ounces of water and I keep it in a sealed container in my kitchen and just shake it up before use. I put 1/4 teaspoon in my ear once every day or two, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before turning it out. I intend on continuing this regimen for two weeks, then hopefully my ear will clear up and my own immune system can take over and the eczema will be gone for good, at least until I get pregnant again haha.
