2012 Hyundai Genesis
Worked on a 2012 Hyundai Genesis sedan! Only difference compared to the OEM key fob is that it lacks the Hyundai badge on the back of the fob. Great value for $55! I personally paid $75 for key programing for two keys at a Hyundai dealership in Chantilly, VA. I did not get the blanks laser-cut (Chantilly doesn't have a key cutting machine anyways). I was told that you can only pair two fobs at a time so I am keeping the last OEM fob I have at home in case I lose one of these. The Hyundai dealership in Fairfax, VA is one of the only Hyundai dealers in the area that has the laser cutting machine. The parts department will cut two keys for $50, and the service department will program two keys for $75. Tip: invest in a Tile tracker (I prefer the Pro for the replaceable battery) so you can find your keys if you lose them!

Fob works fine
It is a big pain to get it programed but that is not the fault of the fob. After multiple trips to a key shop that kept claiming they could do it was finally told that no, they couldn't. Because of the anti theft feature the manufacturer does not want to just give out the information you need for programming which is a good thing. In the end, because of all the run around, the dealership took pity on us and was able to program it and charged us the same price as the key shop. I don't think dealerships like to do this so keep that in mind when purchasing and maybe talk to them before hand to make sure they'll help you.

Don’t purchase
This key does not work for 2015 Genesis. The only thing they were able to do is program it to start the car if inserted into the glove box. The unlock and lock button doesn’t work and the actual key is not compatible with the Genesis key so can’t be converted. Waste of money.

When you need a replacement but are afraid of the final bill...
Wow! This price point was incredible. We won't talk about what they normal source for these would charge. I am beyond pleased.

Proximity keyless functions but the security doesn't fit a 2012 Elantra.
The KEY in this fob is NOT compatible with the 2012 hyundai elantra despite Amazon stating it was. This Fob has a security key blank. I suggest comparing the key blank of the vehicle to the picture of the key blank. This FOB does however program successfully to the 2012 hyundai elantra. I just had a key made when I had the extra Fob programmed and attached it to the new fob key ring. I went to Batteries Plus to have the programming done. They were able to program the original and only one of the 2 new fobs i purchased on Amazon. They were not sure if the car could have more than 2 fobs programmed to the car, which is likely the case.

A Good, Inexpensive Replacement
It was great, being able to replace the broken fobs that came with the used car. But, I cheated. I used the original keys and circuit board from the cracked fobs, and put them into the new cases with the new batteries. No programming required! If you're going to do this, remember to clean the old circuit boards and contacts before assembly.
