Sebamed Clear Face Mattifying Cream

I have greasy skin, and a very shiny forehead. Boots used to make a cream that was great, but then stopped making it, and I haven't found anything to replace it, apart from rip-off creams from some of the big brands. But this cream is fab: I'll be a long-term user!

Not greasy feeling and feels light on skin

I originally had a sample tube of this and it worked great, I felt I had found the perfect product. However when I tried this it left a thick film on my face and didn't rub in. After few seconds it peeled off completely leaving my skin feeling awful. Not sure what's up with the formula but clearly they changed something and it has gone wrong.

I had this cream before and I love it. This one however left a film all over my face and it would peel off as I touch my face or apply foundation. Had to put it in the bin. May have received a bad one as my previous one didn’t do this.

I have been using this for a year now. Love it but this new batch is AWFUL. Felt tight on my skin, felt way too matte, almost like a peel and them would actually peel OFF my face! My face would feel stiff like I had a chemical mask on. What has happened to the formula? Bad batch or did you change it?? Or is this an old batch?

An absolute disaster. Not sure if I can name it differently. This cream was perfect, literally doing wonders on my extremely oily/shiny skin even with just using twice per week for nearly 4 years now and then Sebamed decided to change the ingredients/chemical structure. New formula is simply unusable, left my skin best to say chemically burnt so I am really and honestly reccommending to anyone out there with oily and sensitive skin to avoid it at all costs. It’s honestly not worth it anymore. Shame really because it used to be great.

Please don’t use this cream! Used this cream for the first time and it created heavy red rashes all over the place and had to see dermatologist immediately.
