Use your common sense and use INDOORS only .....Works Great!!!
Read so many negative reviews that seemed not the fault of the product but of the user & in the method that product was used. Great Product. Used mine for INDOOR use, put it right near door & in front of window ...looks great ..... so far it catches most flies upon entry....the glitter attracts flies, & they are sticking well to glue.... Buying more for other rooms now that I know it works. I do not expect one trap to take care of all the flies every where in house. I also put up some other clear traps in windows & those have not caught flies.... those caught a few beneficial insects instead...flies are not attracted to the clear traps. I would never use this trap OUTSIDE, because common sense tells me, it could catch something other than flies....not the fault of the trap, but the fault of the person placing the trap in the wrong location! Nice look in window.....effective ..... would prefer to buy bit cheaper in bulk packs...thanks so much

Works 1,000 times better than the Black Flag version.
I used these last fall, in michigan. They worked great. I had one from last season that I started using in late august, within a week, in my garage, by the trash can it was pretty much covered in flies. Like black with flies, could hardly see any of the color from the trap. We leave the garage doors open - thus easy entry. So as that one filled, I went to order more but they were out of stock so I tried the Black Flag version - I kid you not, I did not catch a single fly after two weeks. So I ordered more of these but had to wait a couple weeks, finally got them, threw away the Black Flag version (with no flies) and hung one of these - catchin flies again. I still find it strange I didn't catch a single fly with the Black Flag - I don't know, there isn't much room for operator error for these. Open... Hang.

Does Not Work!
I love indoor plants, but hate the gnats, so I ordered this. It was very easy to set up and is very sticky (I touched it by mistake when pulling it out of the box). The problem is that it does not attract anything. I initially sat it next to my computer monitor because while working, I see gnats constantly flying by, for 2 days they kept coming, passing right by the trap. Then I moved it to the hall, figuring I'll catch them before they get into the room, 3 days and nothing. Then I moved it to the front door, to catch them when they enter the house, nothing! Then I moved it to the garage, where it's been over a week and nothing. So I figured I'd put some honey on it to attract the bugs to the honey and they may get stuck, and NOTHING STILL. Ugh! I finally bought one of those zappers and that's what got rid of them. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Love it
It worked SUBLIMELY outside!! It's been on a table on the front deck for less than 24 hours in his literally caughthundreds of flies. It's nearly coded. I set it out here because I'm on the deck a lot and I get swarmed by flies continuously. It seriously caught more flies on our deck then my homemade smelly trap did, which means now I can ditch this stinky thing lol. I'm in progress of ordering the large outdoors one, since this one has nearly no room in the inn. the only reason I gave it four stars is because it didn't work as well as I had hoped indoors. We have just a few pesky flies inside oh, not by any stretch an infestation. We've caught one fly. I suppose if you had more than a half-dozen flies inside, this would probably be more effective. It is kind of just whatever happens into it, as there is no attractant. I'm definitely not going to be putting smelly stuff on the one indoors just to catch a few little flies. But it is good to know that that one fly is no longer fly in the ointment. The other good thing is, it's not a flipping eyesore. Fly tapes are easily noted as being such. Smelly fly traps are just that, they're smelly. and most of the things you would use, like the bags are definitely detectable to the eye as one walks past, let us say. Is it a designer product? No. Is it way more attractive than a nasty bags fly trap hanging off of your gutters? Yes. All of my neighbors are now ordering the outdoor one after seeing how much success we had with our 1 little indoor one. For whatever reason, we have not caught any Bees, either. I don't know if it's only set up so that flies are attracted to those particular colors, and Bees not as much, but I am very pleased that I have not caught any bees. Not exactly a tree hugger, as I was willing to sacrifice a couple of bees to be rid of the fly issue, but I definitely don't want to intentionally cause them harm. I've also not caught any butterflies - which is a big bonus for me as well. I don't know if it just hasn't been out long enough, or if it's the fact that I have it in a shady area that has kept the bees and butterflies out of it. so, if you're wanting something for the outdoors, I would definitely go with the bigger outdoors trap. I can see this working really well for a space where you were going to have a barbecue or a lunch, or just have a bunch of people over. We have five extra large or giant breed dogs, and the dogs haven't been overly attracted to it like they are with smelly baits. I would definitely hang it up higher than what your dog is able to reach if you're going to use it where pets will be out, as it is extremely sticky. But we've had no issues that way.

They work in my home! I'm buying more. SEE 1/31/15 edit
Just came online to purchase more. These are very effective for me. I use these in the home. Pacific Northwest. Don't know if it's something about these flies, but the Trapstik works in my home. Whether I hang them from the ceiling, or sit upright on the countertop. They work. And I'm buying more. EDIT 1/31/2015: I'm going to post another review, since I'm not able to edit my 1/26/15 review. I'm revising my score to 1. The manufacturer has changed the product, and these no longer work like a charm. Before, the trap came covered in a white plastic sheet that one peeled off to expose the wonderfully effective sticky stuff. Now the plastic sheet is gone, the trap comes out of the cardboard cover exposed, and the sticky must have dried somewhat because I can see the flies land on the stuff, then struggle only a little bit before flying away. Boy am I disappointed ... to say the least. I'm writing directly to Visilure too. I just visited my local TrueValue hardware store and found the style with the white plastic cover wrap. Bought several of this preferred style. In my opinion, the new style are just not effective. If you can find any old stock, the kind with the plastic wrap around the adhesive TrapStik, buy them.

Hands down THE most effective yellow jacket trap!
These work FAR better than any of the bait traps I've tried... and I've tried most all of them over the years. Bait traps are ignored near nests, these will work right next to one. The colored pattern does a great job of attracting yellow jackets, wasps, and most other insects. Stays very sticky for a full season outdoors, or for over 2 years hung in my garage where it attracts 10x the amount of insects as the nearby flypaper. Use care when removing the cardboard sleeve, sometimes they have been pressed against the trap surface and require some pulling force to remove, which can cause a sudden movement of the trap when they come loose... then you may wind up with a finger, arm or garment stuck to it. These could have made for a great 3 Stooges episode! THINK people... hung from a tree branch, feeder, or in other wide open spaces a passing bird might get stuck to it. I hang these along the side of a 6' privacy fence, or lay on the ground wrapped in chicken wire right over nest openings, been doing this for years with no bird issues.

Works!
I have a fly outbreak in my apartment. No idea where they came from and they are driving me nuts. I got this yesterday and was super excited to try it out. It arrived in a cardboard sleeve. I was not cautious enough when I opened this and ended up touching the sticky thing directly. I tried washing the sticky goo off my fingers with Dawn and it did absolutely nothing except spread it from just my left hand to also my right hand. Thankfully the packaging tipped me off that I could remove it with petroleum jelly, baby oil or mineral oil. I dont have any of those. Thankfully I do have a bottle off eye makeup remover which is incredibly oily. (I have no idea what the ingredients are.) They eye makeup remover worked to get the sticky goo of my hands easily. I placed the trap standing on my kitchen counter and am pleased to say it's already trapped seven flies. I would definitely recommend this trap. Just open it with a lot more caution than I did. The thing is crazy sticky.

Bastante bueno
Buenazo!!!! Aunque no todas las moscas ven en la trampa si se disminuyeron bastante con su uso solo hay que encontrar el lugar perfecto para ponerlo, además de moscas otros bicheros han caído en la trampa
