Review: Approved by Joe Hisaishi, official version, identical to ABRSM Grade 8 selection - Approved by Joe Hisaishi, official version of Joe's performance. Just 5 stars no matter what. ABRSM Grade 8 selection is also using this version. Relatively simple, basic arrangements, philosophically Joe Hisaishi's style, the sound that he wants to deliver. There're other great arrangements from Japan with more pieces collected, of richer sound and sophisticated articulations, in various skill levels, though they're a lot harder to obtain in Europe. Some good books I particularly targeted, took me more than 10 orders on eBay to finally secure 1 sent through from Japan. No matter you already have quite some collections or new to Joe Hisaishi/Studio Ghibli scores, this is definitely a must have in your collection, which is just here to order easily.

Approved by Joe Hisaishi, official version of Joe's performance. Just 5 stars no matter what. ABRSM Grade 8 selection is also using this version. Relatively simple, basic arrangements, philosophically Joe Hisaishi's style, the sound that he wants to deliver. There're other great arrangements from Japan with more pieces collected, of richer sound and sophisticated articulations, in various skill levels, though they're a lot harder to obtain in Europe.
