I liked the stable feeling it gives me the most. I liked least that it is a little bit of a pain to put on with only one hand but that is my fault, not any fault of the brace. The T-2 Brace works just as well as the $1,000 custom made AFO I was wearing and it's much more comfortable. The T-2 fits in a regular width shoe and I can put it on with one hand but I think it would be much easier with two hands. I haven't tried using it in a mid height boot yet but I think it will work. I'm happy with the T-2. My ankle rolls to the outside because of a stroke and this prevents that from happening and greatly increases the types of shoes I can now wear. Other stroke survivors, it might be a problem for you to put this on without any use of your affected hand but it doesn't take much.

This works great for volleyball. Some chafing will occur against ankle bones but that did go away after a bit. One thing to note is that it may shift your knee and/or hip position some due to ankle alignment shift if you wear these long-term like. This in turn can cause knee or hip pain that you did not have before. Durability is good, one pair lasted 2 years with 250lbs giving it hard time, second pair has been good for 3 years.

Bought this for my teenage grandson who plays high school baseball and had turned his ankle over one day during practice. His dad had the same one when he played high school sports from 1999-2003. It has really helped our grandson’s ankle feel more stable and secure while playing ball. It does not limit his ability to move his foot up and down but keeps him from turning his ankle over sideways and injuring it. It is a great product and I was just glad the company still made it. Would highly recommend to anyone playing sports.

These offered a ton of support while the lasted, which was about 3 months. After that, one of the sides snapped while I was playing. Checked the warranty and it's only 30 days. Looks like I'm sticking with a lace-up brace from here on out.

I'm almost at middle age (34 yo), used to be College and Retired Level Volley Player, different positions, but at the same time, different lesions, among them, 2 different sprains 1st level and 2nd level respectively, and was using for many years (9 years) the tecnomed dual aluminum support ankle braces, at those times, the active ankle ones were out of my reach, until i bought them last month, I still play in a club with mixed ages and have to say, of my different 7 pair of volley (basket) shoes, including a 3d printed corrector insoles, all of them feels better, really, better to play with these active ankle braces, more comfortable and safer, I even fell more confident to attack or block. one of the best buys i have had so far.

I don't have ankle issues but I got these to protect my ankle bones from side impacts when doing bike tricks and they work very well for this.
