Working well in my em-5
I bought this extra batteries for my Olympus camera because I have good experience with this brand and works well in my camera and the dead battery fully charged in around 3-3 and a half hours. I think for the quality it's reasonably priced and with proper care I haven't experienced "swallowing" issues therefore I highly recommend this brand for Olympus users, thanks!

Charge Batteries Before Using
In my observation, as a photo hobbyist, these Kastar Brand Rechargeable Batteries need to be charged before using. On my charger, which you can also buy on Amazon, the charger lights stay red for a long time, when new out of the package, meaning the batteries need charging. When the charger lights turn green (at about 40 minutes, or so) they're fully charged and ready for use. Whatever charge that is in them out of the box may not last a session. I always charge them first. I've used these Kastar's for quite a few years now and they're very dependable batteries, but remember, a long or short photo session will burn a charge quickly. Which is why it's good to have plenty of Kastar Rechargeable Batteries on hand. Traveling? Take at least 4 Kastar's and your universal USB charger if going to a theme park or something to travel light. Camera's are Olympus "OM-D/ E-M5" and the USB (plug anywhere) Battery Charger, both sold on Amazon as well. Buy with confidence! Nora's spouse, John -

Not as good as they used to be
I've used Kastar for years, with various camera brands, and they've been pretty good. But these started acting up about a month after I bought them, losing charge quickly and even worse, causing the camera to malfunction. And I was using a Kastar charger. No problems with the much older Olympus batteries. I'm beginning to wonder if all these Chinese battery companies have been bought up by a shady holding company as I've experienced the exact same change in quality with Wasabi brand. Wish I knew who to trust.

I really love these batteries!
I did an outdoor shoot 4 days ago for over 2hrs, consistently shooting with only ONE battery. The battery still has not discharged🤷🏾♂️. I DEFINITELY recommend these💯!

Batteries for an Olympus EM-5
So far, they seem to work better than the originals

Jury is still out on these
I'm having problems using these in my Olympus MFT camera. They appear to be fully charged but either won't start the camera or crash after a couple of shots.

Lasts longer than the original battery
Bought this for to replace the old battery on my Olympus OMD EM5 Micro 43 camera. It fits perfectly with no issues when putting it in or taking it out of the camera. The original battery is 1220 mAh and this one is 2100mAh. While I don't remember how many shots the original one can take, I remember it barely last a day on vacation with an occasional video capture here and there. I tried to test this battery out and it definitely lasted longer. I'm not sure if it is almost twice as long due to the mAh difference, but it's longer. I tried to take pictures and record a few videos to simulate a vacation and by the time I was done, it's only around 50% depleted. I'm glad I'm getting 2 battery for only $15. I can bring the extra battery and shoot all day and not have to worry about running out of juice. My only concern with third party battery is longevity, which I cannot test at the moment. If there is any issues within the next 6 to 12 months with the battery, then I will update the review. Until then, it's working well for me and I recommend it for any ones that want to replace their old camera battery.

Works okay on first few charges
So far so good, haven't tested long term but works fine on first few charges. I don't expect the life of this battery to be as per original, I've used these also before, but it provides additional backup esp when traveling.
