Demco 9511010 Commander Tow Bar

Very well-built product a little pricey but very easy to operate i would recommend it if you're looking for a good quality tow bar

I've been using the Demco Commander Tow Bar for the last 15 months for a total of 13,000 miles. some signs on rust on the tip near the chrome extensions...nothing that a little black spray paint couldn't fix. Over all I'm happy with the tow bar. The Demco setup was all around the best price for my specific vehicle. Note: you can flip the unit by removing the bolts and you gain about a 2 inch drop.

Would not fit to a Blue Ox base plate even with the adapters after I told it would. Light weight and probably will not stand the test of time. I returned it since there was no way it would work with the existing base plate. I was responsible for original shipping charges along with return charges in the amount of $140. Not happy to spend that much money and have nothing to show for it. They also sent me the wrong base plate and that is what started off the whole mess. Not happy with Demco or RV Suppliers.

I don't remember this product but I will say if I bought it and didn't complain about it it was good.

Hooked it up very easy and will be using it soon. We bought a used jeep Wrangler 2002 that had the other end on already so just needed this part Nice we were able to look under the jeep at the other part and it said what it was so we got the right towing bar! Demco was thinking by putting their name on both ends so we can match things up when buying used vehicle! Seems to be a great system and we are putting it into a Ready Brake and it all works smoothly!

This is great very easy to use. I ordered this Tow bar on Monday and it was at my house Tuesday.

This replaced a 12-year old Demco Aluminator that was showing it's age. After 75,000+ miles of towing with Demco towbars and baseplates, it was a no-brainer to stay with the brand. The Commander is heavier than the Aluminator, but I don't plan on taking it off the motorhome often enough that the extra weight will be an issue. The "new" (to me anyway) thumb-lever lock style is much easier to release. The old towbar required a special tool to release the locks, and of course I never remembered which compartment I put it in when it came time to unhook. Just got back from a 3500-mile shakedown to Florida and back. No issues whatsoever.
