Does this beep when you start and stop the timer

Another customer stated it doesn't make any noise, but mine appears to make a faint beeping noise when using any of the stopwatch features. I primarily bought this product based off of this statement as well as the fact it could record a second split. While it does make noise, it's such a faint noise that it wasn't a disappointment for the purposes I needed it. Perhaps previous iterations of the stopwatch didn't make noises, but it appears to as of now.

Does it count down as well? For example if I want to give myself only 5 minutes to do a certain task, will it count down to 0 and then beep?

No, there is no count down functionality on this Stopwatch

Does this stopwatch have an hourly chime, and if so, can that be turned off?

No, it doesn't. The video of John's link dated November 8, 2016 is about a different model, and it does not apply. (This model does not have the "MODE" switch as the video shows.)

Can you see the numbers in the dark?

This product is very good but has one flaw. The back keeps falling off exposing

The back of this product keeps falling off and now I have lost it altogether. This means the batteries are not held in place and therefore they drop out. I put it back several times but now it is lost so I have put an elastic band round it to see if I can stop the batteris falling out. Only bought in May but Amazon give you no where to complain and get a refund.

I absolutely LOVE this stopwatch, it is exactly what I wanted. So easy to use, even I can 'work' it!Running my own cleaning business & charging by the hour, I have now gotten into the habit of setting the stopwatch when I arrive at my client's house & checking periodically to ensure I am within my time. Far easier than trying to remember to check the time by your watch or a convenient clock when you get there, something I frequently used to forget to do.Great value & sooooo simple.
