Does the quick connect electrical connector come with each detector

For all those writing reviews that they are unhappy with the AC plug in this is an easy fix. First turn the power off to your smoke detectors. If you don't know what breaker this is then just turn off the power to the whole house if possible and work with a small flashlight or head lamp. Just disconnect the wire nuts from the existing electrical connector making sure to remember or mark which colors are connected to each other. Then reconnect in reverse the new electrical connector and presto you have converted your current connections to the new electrical connector. I did this on over 10 detectors two years ago and have 4 more to replace this winter. It takes a little time, but is as simple as changing a light bulb. Skill level is about a 1.

I bought the set of 4 and I need another why can’t I find single units of these on Amazon.

Probably because if the connectors aren't the same, you can't return the product, so you get stuck with 4 boat anchors and they make bigger profits at your expense. The product page does NOT say that there is no return.

Does test also sense for Carbon monoxide?

No. There ARE combination smoke detectors/carbon monoxide detectors, but this isn't one of them.

I4618AC Firex Kidde Smoke Drtector

Installation was easy, read the provided instructions. Turned off Smoke Detector AC power breaker in your fuse/breaker box, removed the old (circa 2016). Devices they made them 8 years before starting to false alarm when cooking anything…. I opened the battery compartment for each New device and using a sharpie marker dated the provided battery while in place, hint remove the battery, 1-19-25 and used a pen to mark install date on the attached label on outside edge of the device. Also took pics of the manufacture date on device base for our house records. Battery life could be as long as 5 years (my new devices were manufactured 5-28-2024) by dating batteries lets you track life. Leave the Yellow Battery activation strip in place it hangs out of the battery door/compartment The installation of each device was easy using existing mounting plates and mine had triangle shape plug connectors. If your replacing older Flat prong plug type Kidde offers an adapter plug to todays triangle shape plug. After installation of the smoke detector devices. Turn power breaker back on. The devices will all power up and report by Chirping the low. No battery signal. Go to each device and Pull the Yellow Activate battery strip firmly. After all yellow strips are pulled the chirping will cease. The Green LED on devices will be lit. I’m legally blind and completed the easy installation.
