Holes where 1/4” dia and I used the 1/4” and the 1/8” . It worked just fine. **Q: What size for use with 0.142" wire hooks?** A: The Pegitz for 1/8" hooks will work for the wire hooks with diameter 0.142". Need to have 1/4" diameter holes in the pegboard. My pegboard is mounted and attached to the wall, so I cannot access the back side of it.** A: Yes, the Pegitz part can be removed from the front only. You do not need access to the back of the board. Simply remove the hook first, then pull out the Pegitz part with fingers or pliers. The board uses slots rather than holes. Even the proprietary pegs/accessories tend to wiggle around in the slots. Added these and the pegs stay put. These are also helpful if you are using multiple pegs to hold accessories and the pegs are just a tad too wide. You can angle the peg a little with these, which makes it easier to remove and replace your tools or whatever you have hanging, without readjusting the pegs on every use.
