When I tested it before fitting it to my cat, I found it took nearly 7kg of pull before it released.My cat weight 3.4kg ... I.e. the collar would not release even if she was caught up and dangling from it!I had to file off some of the plastic on the clip to ensure it released at a tension less than her weight.Have had the same problem with other makes of cat collar. It was difficult to attach, the bell was far too loud and the cat hated it. In a couple of days it had disappeared most likely due to the poor construction of the catch.This apparent bargain was a waste of money.We bought a replacement at our local supermarket which is far superior and only a few pence more expensive.Really, Amazon why do you allow vendors to sell such rubbish?
