Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Milk, Vanilla, 32-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12) Good day, friends.. Like many, I also want to eat and drink better. After researching alternatives to cow's milk, like many, I discovered almond milk and was happy that it was available through Amazon. Having tried the sweetened original and then the sweetened vanilla flavored, I was hooked. Since then, I have placed four orders for this excellent alternative. But I have to share something with you. The third time that I ordered Almond Breeze, the vanilla flavored version, I found that the flavor was not like the previous order, which was also the vanilla flavored version, and how I was able to make the comparison. I would not describe it as sour, but as if it had an odd flavor to it. To those of you who have tried the sweetened vanilla version of this product, it was as if the sweetness and vanilla flavor had been mostly missing from it. It also had a slightly bitter aftertaste, which I did not experience with the previous order. The expiration date stamp stated February, 2012. After doing some research, I found that the problem could be that the product may have been frozen at some point. On the cartons themselves it states: Do Not Freeze, and considering that after trying all of the cartons in the shipment, and all of them having the same odd flavor, I believe that the issue was that they had been frozen somewhere between there and here. I hate to be the bearer of a not so glowing review, but I have to be truthful. And considering that this product is priced between $27.00 and $30.00, it certainly is not cheap. But then, the price of health is priceless, so in spending the amount, I do it happily. Even with my experience, I still give this product five stars because of its excellence in flavor and nutrients. I am hopeful that my experience was just a fluke, and that the shipment was accidentally placed together with other highly perishable items that are supposed to be frozen. On the side of the Almond Breeze cardboard box, the statement: Keep From Freezing is printed. But, perhaps if it were more prominently displayed, that would be better. I just placed another order for Almond Breeze, and I will remain a loyal Almond Breeze fan, as many of you are. I thank Blue Diamond for producing such an excellent, excellent product, and Amazon for making this hard to find product available to us. Thank you, and have a healthy day.

Love this brand over silk simply because silk leaves an aftertaste in my mouth that is just disgusting where is this one is just fresh clean crisp and doesn't leave a aftertaste and it's not thick the consistency is as cow milk and I love the ease of storage with this

I have to watch my carbs and hate diet sugars. This is an unsweetened chocolate milk and I’ve never found it with any other brand. It gives a chocolate milk fix without the sweetness which is hard to describe. It I really love it. It’s good in coffee too. My only complaint is that I wish they sold them in smaller batches because my last batch don’t have a long expiration date and I couldn’t get through them fast enough.

As a diabetic, I have to watch my sugar intake. Being non-dairy, it has no lactose (natural milk sugar), which can spike blood sugar. It also has no added sugar, so I can sweeten to taste with non-sugar sweetener. I don't drink milk of any kind by itself, but I do add it to my morning protein enriched latte, which I typically drink iced. This adds a nice hint of chocolate, as well as a little creaminess. Some cold brew concentrate, or Community Instant Coffee and cold water, a scoop of no added sugar protein powder, and 12 ounces of Almond Breeze Unsweetened Chocolate Almond Milk, a few drops of sweetener, blitzed in the NutriBullet and breakfast is ready to drink. Without the protein powder added, it's a nice afternoon pick-me-up. My only complaint is the wild fluctuation in price from one time to the next. I try to to stock up when I find it fairly reasonable, because it's impossible to find it in my local, very rural, shopping area.

I love almond milk but whenever I order these the expiration date is too soon. They don't give a lot of time to use these before they expire.

Update: Seller contacted me and said the milk cartons were back ordered so they are refunding me for the 4 that I didn't get. Seller was prompt in responding, I just missed their return email. Original review: Bummed out because I previously ordered these with Amazon as the seller and they were great. Amazon as a seller didn't have them available this time so I had to order from another seller. I paid a little more to go with a seller that had better reviews - didn't do me a darn bit of good. Only got 8 cartons, instead of 12 and they were just thrown into a box (see pic). Many were banged up, but I think they'll still be useable (hopefully). Nothing was leaking, at least. I have emailed the seller to see when I can receive the 4 they didn't send. I will update my review if this gets fixed. This product, itself is fine and good, so my review is primarily for the seller.

The coconut mixed with the almond is a better flavor to me than the plain almond. I tolerate the almond milk, but the mixture of the almond/coconut has won my vote. I have been trying to cut back on milk (and I LOVE milk), but this will be very helpful to me. I also sometimes add a drop or two of Stevia to it and it really makes it palatable to me. Everyone has unique tastes you might love it just plain. I sort of wondered IF I would be able to drink a package of 12 and when I opened the first carton I was very pleasantly surprised. I have a winner and will incorporate it into my daily food plans. I also love the fact that the whole carton is just 240 calorie; and to use it as a base to make dessert of any kind or drink it with a meal, or just plain for a snack is very filling and is a far cry lower in calories than milk. So for me personally it is a winner and I have no regrets in buying the Almond/Coconut. I have put PB2 Peanut butter/Chocolate powder and Torani Vanilla flavoring in 2 cups of Almond/Coconut milk with a couple of drops of Stevia and added ice and blended it and you have a huge (very filling) milk shake type drink that is low calorie and wonderful. The sky is the limit with all the different things you can do with this 60 calorie cup of heaven's special treat from Blue Diamond Almond Coconut Milk. :-)))
