2018 Foreword Reviews INDIES Book of the Year Honorable Mention Winner Phil Kaye's debut collection is a stunning tribute to growing up, and all of the challenges and celebrations of the passing of time, as jagged as it may be. Kaye takes the reader on a journey from a complex but iridescent childhood, drawing them into adolescence, and finally on to adulthood. There are first kisses, lost friendships, hair blowing in the wind while driving the vastness of an empty road, and the author positioned in the middle, trying to make sense of it all. Readers will find joy and vulnerability, in equal measure. Date & Time is a welcoming story, which freezes the calendar and allows us all to live in our best moments. Review: One of the books that made me love poetry - "Repetition" alone makes this collection worth buying; it appropriately uses the titular device better than any poem I've ever read. Some of the poems are better in spoken word, but still great on the page. Review: Date and time button poetry - Love it. Fun reminiscing.

Great Poetry
I've been reading a poem a day for my gf over facetime since we're doing long distance. It's been a great way of bonding since these poems encourage different kinds of important feelings and conversations. It has helped us get to know each other and ourselves better.

I love it!
Sometimes I buy random slim poetry volumes just based on the title and the cover, which is what I did here. I typically don't have the highest expectations for books I buy this way, but I take a chance because I like poetry and slim poetry books are a fairly short read. So that's how I was introduced to Phil Kaye, and I have to say he exceeded expectations with Date and Time. I really connected with his words on the page. A couple of the poems that I connected with were Succulent (a commentary on the disposable nature of relationships if you treat them that way) and Repetition (a very powerful poem that discusses the power we have over language). I looked up "Phil Kaye Repetition" on YouTube and it has 274,000+ views, so I wasn't alone in connecting with that one. If you're reading this: Well done, Mr. Kaye.

AMAZING! This book is a work of art!
I have followed Phil Kaye since he was on youtube. I love Phil Kaye and his poems. His poems are so real and unflinchly honest. To me, its almost like the words are jumping out of the page. They are saying, " Read me, you won't regret it."

Well done, Phil.
Phil Kaye is such an extraordinary spoken word poet, but reading his words offer such emotional depth that you can understand even deeper than when you hear him deliver his poetry live.

Maybe used/returned copy?
Love Phil Kayeโs poems. But the cover of the book was torn and scratched up, and it had something sticky on it. Not brand new quality. And the sticky stuff is kind of gross.
