RUST-OLEUM 330494 Quart Universal Bonding Primer , white, 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

Applied this Rust-Oleum Primer using a brush focusing on the gout lines before using Rust-Oleum Tub and Tile paint.

I wanted to paint some metal on an outside structure and wanted to make sure I got top level coverage and protection so I wanted looked for a powerful primer product. This Rustoleum Bonding Primer performed extremely well in all regards. It was super easy to apply after preparing the surface. It held to the brush well to minimize drips and flowed on to the surface smoothly with excellent coverage. A single coat is all that is necessary but I chose a second coat. Just me. This primer leaves a surface that readily grips the topcoat of finish paint and helps create a complete coverage that encapsulates the metal and thereby protecting for many years of exposure. I am a big fan of this and other Rustoleum products. If used as directed I have never been disappointed in the results and that applies double for this product.

How do you describe this rust oleum is a brand name. It always works covered. It’s no leakage. The thickness is good. It’s durable. The kind of variety is awesome and all counts was the rust prevention. Bingo all good.

I used it as a primer on kiln treated flower pots. So far there has been no problems. Great product. The only one that I have found with such adhesion. My next effort will be to use it on formica before painting.

I bought this to paint a plastic skeleton for Halloween. Prepped the skeleton, sanded it lightly, bare and good surface. Basic plastic, nothing fancy. No matter how much I stirred and shaked the paint was always translucent. I didn't mind, figured okay whatever if it sticks then thats okay, ill use acrylics over it. Well, it peeled off no matter what I did. No idea if mine is just lemon, but was extremely dissapointed. Couldn't even return it because I had used so much over the span of two weeks trying to make it work, thinking I must be doing something wrong. In the end, I wish I just got the spray on or something else. I expected more from rustoleum.

We used this product to help the paint adhere to the metal lockers that we were updating. It only took a small amount ant worked great as a bonding primer. We will be refurbishing more project in the near future. This product will be used again.

I used this product on PVC, metal, and stucco and it worked great. Only time will tell if the adhesion lasts years. Also, I like that I was able to apply a topcoat in one hour.
