Worked well, save a lot of time, I have a tip for using it...
Worked perfectly once I got the hang up it. The first time I tried to lift the rocker, the tool slipped off the back and the valve slammed shut. The trick is to push the tool toward the rocker arm at the same time as you're compressing the spring. After figuring that out, I got all 12 pushrods out in about a minute. It was really fast. Others have said that the weld was bad, but mine looked quite strong, and obviously didn't break for me. Seems well constructed. Tool saved a lot of time!

Great tool!!!
Great tool for removing and for replacing the pushrods on the GM 60 degree V6 engines (2.8, 3.1 and 3.4). Whether you are just doing the lower intake manifold gaskets or head gaskets too, this tool is a must-have. Let me explain why... The aluminum heads on these engines are so easy to damage the threads on. You really need to know what you're doing to prevent damaging them. When re-installing the rocker arms, if the pushrods are already in place, you CAN hand-turn the crankshaft to be sure each valve you're about to tighten and torque is closed to reduce valve spring pressure but you can relieve it 100%. BUT, with this tool, you can torque the rocker arm bolts freely and get it just right THEN use this tool to install the pushrod afterward. And it is very simple to use. If you are going to get as far as the lower intake manifold gasket on one of these engines, do yourself a favor and get one of these tools. It is worth the small cost, and the wait for delivery, even if you only plan to use it once. 2 Thumbs Up!

Does what it is intended for
Did the famous intake manifold gaskets on a Malibu. This tool is great. Saves a lot of time and reasonable price. Only issue was because of the paint it kept slipping off a few of the rocker arms. Had to use it a certain way to get it to not slip and quickly pull the push rods before it lost grip. I did not have the issue of the weld separating like some reviewers. I used a good amount of force on it too.

2003 Chevy Malibu 3100 - Bought for IMG replacement.
I have read some reviews that it bends when used. I dont see how. This is pretty thick metal construction and worked very well for removing the push rods. I can only guess that someone was using it wrong. Because of the spring pressure you might want to wrap a small towel or something around the handle. If you do not work on cars for a living your hands might hurt a bit after getting the push rods out. I had my Girl Friend help - I lifted the rocker arm and she took out / installed the push rods. The fit is perfect and makes removing the push rods very easy. You do not want to unbolt the rocker arms because its an aluminum head and the threads will most likely strip out when you either take the bolts out or try putting them back in. If your doing head gaskets or Intake Manifold Gaskets you need this tool.

Awesome if you need it.
This tool is awesome for the GM v6 3.4 it makes removal and replacement of the pushrods without removing the rockers a snap. It has a grove to guide the rod out and then back in. Totally a time saver.

Good tool for getting the push rod out but bad design.
Good tool for getting the push rod out but bad design. The tool was a bit too long to hook the rocker nut so it keep slipping off the rocker. In order for you to use it you have to put forward pressure while pulling up on it to release the pushrod(which is really hard to do). My solution to it was wrapping a ton of electric tape on the front hook part that hooks to the rocker nut. that shorten the distance from the first hook to second hook. Now i don't push the tool forward.

Makes the lower intake gasket job that much easier.
Very helpful tool for lower intake manifold gaskets on 3.1L and 3.4L engines as i work for GM and i personally say this is a helpful tool. I do not use this tool everyday because we just do not see any older vehicles much anymore but done a fair share of lower intake manifold gaskets on those engines and can say the tool does speed up the process. The tool does require a bit of technique and practice too use just because i think the design of the tool so if you have never used a tool like this it will require practice. First i would make sure you push the lever up in the exact plane of the rocker arm if not then it will slip off and the rocker arm will slam down and bust your knuckles. Second, Lower the tool slowly and only lift up until the push rod can clear its cup. Don't try to get a lot of clearance because a lot of pressure is on the spring. Third, do not try to take the push rod out from the side, it will not happen. Five, I have seen a few reviews that it doesn't provide enough leverage to open the valve to remove the push rod. Sort of but not entirely, if you look on the side of the tool near the handle. It fits a 3/8 ratchet or breaker bar for additional leverage. It does provide more leverage. *I want others to know that when using the tool weather with or without a breaker bar for additional leverage, ensure when you are forcing the spring down which will open the valve to make sure the cylinder to NOT at TDC because if it is the valve will contact the top of the piston and if more pressure is applied it could wrap or bend the valve and more than a gasket is your problems.* Additional when removing the push rods ensure to keep them IN ORDER because they are different lengths and if mixed up, damage WILL occur. Otherwise the tool is unique all a solid well built tool and does the job because i will say it now that it is a pain in the a$@ to remove the rocker arms and then having to re-torque them which in my job. Time is money, so if your needing, having, or going to be doing an lower intake gaskets on push rod engines. Don't hesitate to push this simple tool because money saved is more money spent on tools.
