Lionheart (2-Disc Special Edition) [Blu-ray + DVD]

Bruce lee n Jackie Chan n jet li are all legendary martial artists n action stars but out of Belgian cones unknown Jean Claude van damn he would arrived on scene with his breakout role in blood sports that lead to this film lion heart vhs. To dvd n Blu-ray and now mvd brings u 4k Blu-ray of this film which is one of many of his great films at his top peak in film making into ledgendary action star . The action is good n storyline is great and pic of 4k is good n audio 2.0 which not bad could have had Dolby atmos would have been nice . I enjoy this a lot .

Absolutely best looking version of this movie and it's the extended cut. Ia have a special steelbook bluray edition and this 4K is way superior. Guys at MVD did a great job with this transfer. Absolute must have for a Van Damme fan! The audio is only in 2.0 but if you have an amplifier you can make a pretty decent surround sound mix with a push of a button. There are some extras as well but I haven't had a chance to look at them yet. Definitely recommend others. Looking forward to receiving Death Warrant in few days which is also being released by MVD

I like the movie

Lionheart has always been one of my favorite Van Damme movies. I had to have it. The blu ray came in great condition. I also received a small poster. Great movie!

This is not a review of the actual movie, cause the movie is great. However, most MVD movies come w/ a sleeve this one does not. I have returned 3 times and everytime no sleeve. Now this might not matter to some of you & thats fine, but for us collectors it does matter. The picture is misleading cause that is clearly a sleeve cover pictured even if it is a stock photo. Anyways, thats why this gets one star. Shrink wrap also looks suspicious, it is not the factory seal, and the ad doeant say it was used. Movie however, 4 stars. This is Van-Damme's 2nd best movie, 1st being Bloodsport.

Van damme at his best

Prime JCVD, his best movie PERIOD! Only reason for the 4 stars ⭐️ Only con is in the extended cut you can see the filters go in & out through out the movie. Especially in the scenes that were cut out. It’s like they forgot or didn’t care to remaster those parts and it’s a shame because this is a classic. If you can live with that then get it, if not pass on this…..

This is easily Van Damme's best movie of them all. Not only is he in his physical prime, but he's really got his acting chops down as well. And this was totally from the heart, as he had a hand the script as well. Believe it from someone who has seen nearly all his films, that absolutely none of them have JC acting as sincerely as in this one. This truely was JCVD's "Rocky". JCVD is enough of a bad-ass in real life, but everyone likes to imagine himself as even better ... he's really proud of his French (actually Belgian) heritage in this one, and plays a Foreign Legionnaire, known for their incredible toughness. This gem is as touching a story as a martial arts flick gets, and nearly good for all ages, as the profanity and nudity are at a bare minimum. In fact, I find it hard to recall a single death scene. Great acting and stunts from all the supporting cast. Awesome movie!

Esse filme tem 4 nomes: Wrong Bet, A.W.O.L, Léon e Lionheart, o bluray tem a versão Léon, o dvd é Lionheart, nada significativamente muda, são ângulos nas lutas apenas, achei muito caro para não vir nem com luva, enfim, ótimo filme, me fez ir várias vezes ao cinema, ter em minha coleção é uma joia, com cupom e reembolso, saiu quase de graça, valeu muito.

This review is for the quality of the 101 Films Blu-Ray release of A.W.O.L. not the movie itself as we all know it is awesome!! I have viewed and own this movie on the VHS and DVD platform and was too young to catch the cinema release. Now, for the first time in the UK, 101 Films has bought this JCVD classic to Blu-Ray. The picture quality is the best you are going to get. It lives up to a 1080p quality that you can expect from an old early 90's action flick. It looks real sharp and the colours are vibrant but there is a slight grainy texture as with most of the Blu-ray versions of old movies. Considering how poor the DVD release was, 101 Films have done a brilliant job. The audio seems a little quiet but nothing that can't be sorted by knocking the volume up a few notches. Only downside is its 2.0 audio. They managed to get a 5.1 for Black Eagle, shame it couldn't be done for this. The menu is basic and reminiscent of a low budget DVD release from the early 2000's. There are also no special features, just a play and chapter select option. All in all I think 101 Films have done the best they can with this release and if you are a fan of A.W.O.L. then this is probably the best version you will ever get. For me it was well worth the £8.99 I paid and makes a nice addition to my JCVD collection.

Es un buen producto a secas, ya que la versión extendida no cuenta con el subtítulo en español, la versión normal si los trae pero no es una buena escritura, audio original en inglés no hay doblaje al español es en los dos discos BR y dvd imagen bien la carátula está un poco maltratada a mi parecer es por ser una de las últimas piezas.

El DVD me llego puntual y en buen estado, no puedo opinar sobre la calidad audio-video por que no he tenido tiempo de ver todavía el DVD

Per quanto riguarda il film e' risaputo che e' uno dei più belli e più riusciti di Van Damme e finalmente e uscito in blu-ray. Devo fare i complimenti a questa piccola casa di produzione per l'ottimo prodotto sia per il film in versione integrale e per i contenuti extra: dal making of alle foto gallery e ha diversi trailer del film. Soldi ben spesi e che le grosse case di produzione ne prendano esempio e producano bluray decenti ad esempio il pessimo e scandaloso bluray del film Accerchiato sempre con Van Damme. Consiglio a tutti di comprare questo blu-ray. Complimenti ad Amazon per la puntualità
