This duo is absolutely perfect for the hobby or professional fruit/vegetable carver! I was asked to carve a watermelon this summer for a family gathering (since family tends to assume that being "crafty" or "artsy" in one area translates to all others by default) and thus, I started my journey of watching many, many YouTube videos of pros in action in order to live up to expectations. I waited anxiously to receive this package after purchasing it from Amazon, and it took almost 2 months to arrive. I assure you, it was well worth the wait. These beautiful blades make quick work of detailed potato stamps or roses, delicately carved tomatoes, cucumber, watermelon, cantaloupe, pumpkin, onion, radishes, whatever you want to display! If you enjoy reductive sculpture of any softer medium, these tools are to be counted as essentials. Quite surprisingly sharp right out of the package, with instructions for keeping blades well maintained and free of rust included, this set is sure to be an heirloom item in my home. Only "con" is that the fancy scrollwork on the hilt and sheath are actually wrapped metallic stickers rather than carvings. Easy to hold and manipulate to make intricate designs, simple maintenance, and pleasing aesthetic make these a good investment for anyone interested in more than the yearly jack-o-lantern or two. Would definitely reccomend!

Read the description I thought I wad getting four knives due to the picture. I only got two, they both are great but like I said read the description before you buy

Tried to look past bad reviews because I really wanted a good carving knife for carving watermelon designs and it’s all plastic . Started to curve immediately. No good , sorry y’all

Only two knifes, not four don't be fooled

Works great beside the other knife. The other knife was pretty dull so I end up not using it anymore. They do rust if you dont whipe it dry right away. I will continue to keep using it until I need a new one.

This one was a very good purchase and im glad xuz i got it and it's amazing have this and practice
