Disappointing!
To be quite honest I found these pretty tasteless. I've had others that had the most delicious subtle flavour. The best I could do with these was slice them with the mandolin then rub the slices with a little Sainsbury's Truffle Oil, which improved the slices but shouldn't have been necessary. Won't be buying from this supplier again.

This is a great product, really tasty! It’s not the same texture as a regular truffle, it’s more crumbly, but that doesn’t bother me as it’s so convenient. It’s excellent value for money and has plenty of flavour, I’ve bought it before and I’ll buy it again.

Let it marinate with whatever you want to cook it with and u will be happy with the result. They, of course, are not a truffe noire from the perigord, but at this price and after having bought all varietes from this brand, yes that is a good deal for an everyday, simple lunch. No leakage, jar was very well packed. Good texture, taste ok, smells good, size is fair. Good!!!!

Ordered these for making a FAMOUS TV Chef's Risotto with black truffles, and this was NOT a "Kitchen Nightmare" if you catch my drift!!! ;) I've ordered black truffles several year's before, not from this seller, they'd opened up & leaked but I took chance & used them anyway. These were nicely sealed in a small amount of liquid in glass jar, fairly average sized black truffles. They smelled amazing, fragrant - wish I could afford fresh, Oh well - and they made a very nice risotto dish. I think Chef would not tell me to **$$ off - learned a lot online on how to properly make risotto - I highly recommend watching videos of how to do it successfully. I have friends now BEGGING me to make more now. It was yummy & I'd highly recommend this seller if you want to kick your recipes into the next dimension.
