If you're scrolling through the many planters here, the Veradek cube is likely to catch your eye. The simple, clean design is visually striking. Your second thought may be "can I really spend THAT much on a planter?" That was my reaction, at least, but everything about the planter fit in with my planned balcony garden, so I ordered one. I now have three and am really happy I got them. My balcony gets very hot with a lot of direct sun. The high-density plastic is handling the conditions just fine (it's so dense it actually feels and looks more like a composite with a lovely brushed finish). There's also a very clever design element not immediately apparent. The cube has a false bottom of about 4" above the cube base. Both this bottom and the true base have a couple of large drainage holes which can be plugged with drainage plugs supplied with the cube. Not only does this design reduce the amount of soil required to fill the cube, it allows it to be used in three configurations. Plants that are happy in a lot of moisture can be plugged at the false bottom. Those that require drainage can be plugged at the base to avoid run-off, or left unplugged if the planter is on an area where run-off is not a problem. I am quite picky about items like this since my balcony provides a little personal oasis in the desert. This cube exceeded my expectations, hence why I now have three of them. I am happy to recommend it highly.

I love these pots. They are sturdy, yet light enough to move around, even with large bamboo plants in them and plenty of dirt. I took the plugs out of the bottom and they drain well. They look great outside on my patio and and one year later look as good as new. They are worth the cost.

These are quite large and are great for our front porch. I wanted something weather resistant and light weight and these seem to be a great quality. The ability to have or not have drain holes is wonderful.

These are really nice planters good quality with lots of size and shape options. Had a little issue with the logo being cooked on the outside of the tub. It was quickly resolved by the company. Excellent customer service !!

Very nice planter. Has false bottom so is not as deep as it appears but sufficient. Drain holes in both and bottom panel does unscrew. After setting up and planting we had a downpour from overflowing eaves trough and newly planted hydrangea was floating so I unscrewed the bottom panel in case there was a lot of water trapped but very little so water will seep through the holes but not when it comes so suddenly. I did use landscape fabric in bottom so soil would not go through holes.

Set this up with begonias and auto watering. Found it flooded after a couple of weeks. I didn't remove the rubber plug in the bottom. Otherwise a great planter...
