I bought this for hog hunting until I could get a $400 laser. Figured I'd just give it to the kids once I got the laser. Change of plans! This light is amazing for the price! I an clearly see to 100-150yds through my ACOG. That's plenty far for me for a night hunt. The only thing preventing a 5 star review is that it casts an odd shaped square beam and there are slight 'dead spots' (lines) in the beam at close-in distances. Don't let that prevent you from buying it though.
