Rightline Gear Truck Bed Tent

Setup: Mostly painless, took about 25 minutes detailed reading instructions and about 15-20 a few weeks later with much less reading. Some awkwardness of the fit but getting everything into place isn't too bad. Things definitely stretched out after I put the poles up the first time which helped. Good instructions sewn right into the bag, very helpful! Function: No floor was a must for me, it fits over my DIY platform perfectly. Spacious even with said platform. Plenty of vents; on a hot day (I tried it at 98 degrees) I would absolutely want a fan or similar still Retains the tailgate space quite well, the third pole holds the door up out of the way. Water proofing: Excellent. I blasted it from several angles with a hose the first time and got it up ahead of a pretty nice thunderstorm the second time and didn't see anything get wet. My only minor complaints: I really thought I was gonna break a pole or tear a seam the first time I put it up. Once it stretched out second time was fine; be cautious! I heard many creaks and had very minor splintering on one end of a pole section The rain fly is very difficult for one person to put on. I don't blame them and it's the nature of such a tall tent but I was wishing I was 9' tall trying to wrangle it over the peak. Haven't beat it up yet so I can't comment on material quality as a whole.

My husband uses this tent for camping in his truck. He can set it up and take it down easily.

Get is great I can't wait to take off and go camping fishing. We also bought truck bed mattress. We should be very comfortable.

Overall I am very satisfied with the tent. I give it four stars only because the stitching seems not that great. It seems like it could be of a bit higher quality. For the price it is good though. Update: after using the tent for two months I am very dissatisfied with the quality. One of the poles outright broke, and the other two have bent at every metal joint. I’m sure that it is just a matter of time before they fail as well

Fits my 2021 Chevy Colorado 6' long bed perfectly. (Item # 110761) No problems with initial setup (in driveway) 1 person setup (I'm 6'2") Fits OVER my fold up BakFlip bed Cover (MX4)! Fold it up to the last panel and use as a bedside TABLE in the tent. I didn't see any part of the tent that was stressed/stretched, Corners fit well but not too tight I'm confident it won't tear. Most stress on the pole retention sleeves, which are heavy duty, so we'll see. Rainfly snaps in place easily. Covers entire top of the tent. I'm a fair weather camper, so dont plan on needing it, but.... Can't wait to hit the road.

I purchased this tent two years ago but I'm just getting around to using it because of the pandemic. My wife and I went on a dry run in the driveway and the 6-foot size will NOT fit a 2021 Toyota Tacoma with a 6-foot bed. Regardless of what others have said before or what the chart states, it is about six inches too short. It was stretched so tightly, it ripped. Now, it's been two years since I purchased it, and I can't return it. Buy a larger tent or go with a different company's product.

The material is very thin on this truck camping tent. The fabric tore in one area on my first camping trip using it. I did set it up at home to test before my camping trip. Found that it was time consuming to set up, a lot more difficult than a regular tent you set up on the ground. Plus, I advise potential buyers to reconsider purchasing this product not only for the poor materials and the time it takes to setup, once you set it up, you can’t drive your truck without taking it down. Also getting up and down from your pick up bed can prove difficult, especially in the middle of the night if you have to use the bathroom. This was a waste of money. I purchased this truck camping tent to replace my ground tent that I had used for many years, thinking that being off the ground would be nicer. Not so. Sadly it is passed the 30 day return so I am stuck with it.

Ordered the tall bed for my 2020 tacoma, 6' bed. Fit great, easy to set up. Website and box have different info for the 2020 tacoma, but the tall bed fit well.
