Great Way To Customize Anything!
I have been using Cowles Custom Chrome Trim for years. The quality of the Chrome and Adhesive is great. The trim is flexible up to a curtain point or you will crack the Chrome finish. Installation was easy. Measure three time, and apply once. Great DIY for cars and motorcycles. I just customized my Black Matte finish 2016 Honda NM4 in Chrome.

Sleek looking and functional
I bought this body side molding for two purposes: (1) Give my car a sportier look, and (2) protect my doors from minor door dings. It seems to be doing both. Installation was easy and after a month or so the adhesive is holding up well. I gave it a four-star rating because it is a bit pricy and we have not experienced extreme cold or hot weather yet. If it holds up well after a year or two, it certainly deserves a five-star rating.

Great product!
This product worked out very well! I bought a new King Ranch Ford Truck but it didn't have the chrome trim on the step rail. So I bought the 1" strip for each side and 8 months later its still on there looking great .

PLASTIC CHROME TRIM - GREAT JOB
I bought a used Ford F150 truck with chrome bumpers. Problem: the rubber trim on the front bumper was missing, leaving a series of ugly holes. I ordered this trim, as it is 3/4" wide and would cover the holes. I scrubbed the bumper with soap and water then took paint thinner to it to make sure there was no old wax etc. to stop the stick. With the backing tape still on, I measured what I needed of the (plastic) chrome tape, cut it off at each end on an angle to match the bumper, and peeled it a foot or so at a time as I stuck it down. I needed a small realignment in the middle, and was able to pull it back and redo. It went down nicely, and then I went back and carefully pressed it in place, using fingers, then pressing with the slippery backing paper to make sure and not scratch the plastic "chrome". I did this several times over the first few hours, and again after it had been on overnight. Bottom line - looks great. It appears to be part of the original chrome bumper and it remains thoroughly stuck down. I've had it on for a few months now, and have had it through the car wash a few times. No issues. We'll see how it looks after a couple of years (how does "plastic chrome" handle the sun?), but so far so good. One note: it's $20 for 12 feet, so be sure to measure what you need before you order. The price can add up pretty quickly. That said, it would make good anti-parking-lot-ding protection. UPDATE more than a year later. My truck is parked outside and gets the full blast of the Arizona sun every day. The trim is still looks excellent. Recommended!

So far so good.
Make sure your car is nice and clean. Unroll it and let it sit in the sun, or put weights on the ends over night to get it nice and flat. I wiped down the car with isopropyl alcohol where the trim would be then used window cleaner to give it the best chance to adhere to the paint. I also bought a small roll of 3m trim tape for the ends of the trim since the factory strips are only on the top and bottom. I used magnets (pictured) to help line up the trim on the car so it came out as straight as possible then peeled back the adhesive covers as I went instead of taking all of it off and fighting it. It's been on the car for a week so far and no issues. I used a white paint pen to transfer the factory shape to the new trim, then cut it out with utility scissors, a Dremel tool, and a hobby knife set to carefully get the final shape. I then used the isopropyl alcohol to clean off the white paint pen marks before putting it on the car. **February 2026 follow up - still on the car with zero issues.

Looks good for a month, then starts to fall off.
Did NOT stick on SUV for over 4 weeks. Needs better 2 sided tape.

Excellent quality for the price. Used this chrome trim to replace some damaged trim on an older SUV.

This product is a little less quality than what Ford uses for chrome , however next to the chrome it looks pretty pretty close 🧐
