It's about 8-10 inches long and stands about 6 inches tall.

would it be okay for an 11 y/o?

Absolutely. It will get them working with their hands with small details and following step by step instructions. The dragon is a fun toy too. My 4-year old needs my help building it. Great for bonding with kids.
