An good hydration bottle at a great price.
I am on a diet & exercise program that pushes drinking 48-64 ounces of water a day. The coach recommended using a hydration flask and carrying it around everywhere I go. I see people do that and groan a little, but hey, if it works, it works. So, on to which flask to get. I have a Takeya--a gift from a dear friend. 32 ounces. Very heavy when filled, and a bit cumbersome to lug around. I also have a Bubba flash from WalMart--48 ounces--even worse. Great flasks, mind you, just too big. I immediately considered another Takeya. The 32 ounce flask I have is great. During my research, I came across HydroFlask. Wow, super expensive. Apparently they are the flask of choice for teenage high school girls. "VSCO girls", I believe they are called. Sorry, I'm not going to pay a premium price for a product just because the company can take advantage of a bunch of trendy teenagers. Then I came across ThermoFlask. It seemed no different from Takeya or HydroFlask. The flask I selected was about $4 cheaper than the Takeya, and it came with two lids--one for "chugging" and one with a built-in straw. ThermoFlask it is. A couple of days into it, and I like the ThermoFlask. Performance is every bit as good as my Takeya. The design of the "chugging" lid is slightly different and, in my opinion, slightly better. The design ensures the cap is completely out of the way when you drink from the bottle. Very nice. The straw lid has a sort of silicone bit on the end, which does make use of the flask a more comfortable experience. I find that silicone lid needs frequent scrubbing as it attracts dirt and other nastiness. I wash it every day--that seems to do the trick. Ice water lasts about as long in my ThermoFlask as it does in my Takeya. Believe it or not, my 48 ounce Bubba from WalMart blows both of the other two away. Go figure. The finish on the ThermoFlask appears to be the same quality as the Takeya. The finish on the Bubba is painted, not powder coated. The Bubba also has a rubber foot on the bottom, so it won't damage any surfaces. Neither the Takeya nor the ThermoFlask have that, which is unfortunate. I think if there were a 24 ounce Bubba available, I might have gone that route. The lid design on the Bubba is exceptional, as is the rubber foot and the performance with cold liquids. Since they don't (as far as I can tell), the ThermoFlask and Takeya are perfectly acceptable. The two lids for the ThermoFlask make it a good choice over the Takeya. The Takeya is three years old and going strong. Hopefully I'll be able to say that about the ThermoFlask in three years.

Cold water for hours
A great water bottle that holds in cold for hours. I use it as I work outside. The metal inside keeps ice cold and in the bottle for hours on hot days. The cap is a twist off and easy to clean in a sink. It will get dirt on it so clean it once in a while. It will dent if you drop it on cement so be careful with that. I've used mine for many years and it's a great product.

Well designed. Easy to use.
This thermos comes with two lids, both well designed. Most thermoses have a lid you must remove when you want to drink. This leaves you with both hands full unless you can find a clean place to put down the lid. To drink, you must tip the thermos in front of you. It is best not to do this while driving. This flask, with the chug lid, must still tip be tipped to drink, but but the lid is captured and stays attached so you do not have to hold it. When closing the thermos, the lid aligns automatically with the thermos threads, so all you need do is turn it to make it seal. All this can be done easily with one hand. The straw lid is my favorite. Still one-hand operation. Just flip up the end in the cap and sip. You do not have to tip the thermos up in front of your face to drink, except for the last sip. Very convenient. They even give you a spare straw. You do have to rinse the straw when you clean the bottle, of course. I tested mine with the straw cap. I put in hot coffee. After 2 hours, it was cool enough to sip and after 3 hours, was cool enough to take mouthfuls. After 8 hours, I had finished the coffee and it was still warm. I do not know how much longer it would have kept it warm if I had not been drinking it. Some thermoses might keep beverages hot longer, but are not as convenient to use. This thermos keeps it warm plenty long for a day trip. For iced beverages, the times would probably be considerably longer. The chug lid might keep it hot/cool even warmer. If you plan to drink the contents right away, put in cooler liquid. The 24 oz size (3" dia.) flask fits all my car cup holders, including the ones in the door. The 40 oz size (3.5" dia.) fits the one in the console of my truck, but not all car cup holders. The flask does not leak with either cap and need not be kept upright. Both caps have a convenient handle that can take a shoulder strap for added convenience.

Thermo-Flask My Favorite Water Bottles!
I originally purchased these in the 16oz for my granddaughters to use at our house, to have a couple leakproof, heavy duty, drop proof containers for their drinks both inside & out. These are great for the kids, but then I stared using one for myself at night to have a water bottle on my bedside at night. The straw option is Great when laying down and the short ones are light enough to maneuver without spilling. Plus these don’t make that slurping sound, like the pull top sports bottles, so they are also great for traveling on planes, trains & automobiles. ; ) My son& daughter-in-law put theirs thru the dishwasher all the time. And that’s where I originally fell in love with the Thermo-Flask. So I didn’t know you weren’t supposed to put them in the dishwasher. Anyways they seem to do fine in the dishwasher top rack only for the cover, straws i put in the silverware holder and the main component/jug goes top or bottom wherever it fits depending on what size you have. Ours have been fine, although I noticed with one of mine that the dishwasher may have deteriorated the little airflow valve on the top-center of the straw lid as it leaks a little now. It may or may not have been the dishwasher that caused the slight leak. But I have four ThermoFlasks. I use them all the time & mosty run them thru the dishwasher, especially the straw tops with the silicone gasket pulled out & either hung over glass holder or bunched up in the bottom of the silverware holder. So unless you’re paranoid about the warranty I wouldn’t worry about running them through the dishwasher. I Usually don’t run anything through the straw except tap hot water. I used the dishwasher when I forgot it for a week in the car and it ended up getting a few little moldy spots near the top on straw & gasket. Then I pulled the gasket & straw, scrubbed them really good and ran a pipe cleaner type instrument down the straw to make sure I got any mold out before I ran it through the dishwasher to sanitize it. Overall great, easy to carry drink bottles!

Mostly great!
Aside from being a decent value, this bottle is the perfect balance of capacity and portability. I wanted a bottle that keeps my beverage cold, is large enough to not have to be constantly refilling it, but small enough to fit under the icemaker and water dispenser, and to not look foolish carrying it around. On all accounts it delivers. I also really like the straw feature with a bottle this size. I got mine in white, which looks super classy. My main criticism is the flip top mouthpiece doesn't lock into place in the drinking position, so you have to apply some pressure to it to get proper water flow. It's a bit annoying, but I'm not letting it ruin my life. Finally, I would have liked it to come with a straw cleaning brush or two. UPDATE: I noticed that this bottle doesn't quite match the insulation quality of my Hydro Flask, which I could keep in the car all day during the Arizona summer, and still have ice cubes. In the Thermoflask, you're pretty much guaranteed to have melted ice within an hour or two. Still, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Great water bottle. +my solution to noisy suction
I love the 40oz size! It's perfect for my work day. I used to go between my 20 and 24oz bottles but that wasn't enough for the whole work day. This one is perfect. (Decal not included). Since the very first use, I noticed a sound when drinking from the straw. The sound gets louder once your bottle is halfway empty. I found out it is because of there is not a good enough seal from the nozzle(black plastic) to the lip piece(gray rubber). I resolved this issue by wrapping some seran wrap/plastic wrap around the black nozzle a couple times and then putting the rubber piece back on. Now it's completely silent no matter how much water I have left! Other than that, this bottle is great! It doesn't keep ice overnight, but for work, it keeps my water at a nice cold temperature for my 8a-6p shift! I have not yet tried the other cap that you screw the circle part off, because it's more convenient for me to use the straw. I haven't dropped it yet, so I can't attest to durability against falls.

great bottle
I had originally thought I only got one lid, the one I did not really want. However the other one was mixed in with the packing material as a separate item. I do like this bottle very much and am considering ordering another. I cannot speak of the straw part because I do not use it that way but the cap gives me a great seal and the bottle keeps my water nice and chilled. I looked at many thermal bottles before settling on this one. My primary need other than it keeping things cold for hours was that it had a gulp cap so I did not have to fiddle with a straw or trying to keep that straw clean. This was advertised as having 2 tops, a straw one and a gulp one. When my bottle arrived I got ONE cap, the one with the straw. I can't be bothered returning it so now I have a bottle I will most likely never use. Buyer beware. You may not get what you pay for.

Great insulated water bottle!
This water bottle is great! I have no complaints. I love that it came with both the straw lid and the screw cap lid, that was one of my main reasons for picking this bottle over other brands. I bring it to the gym in the morning and then to work. It fits in cup holders, doesn't sweat, and doesn't leak. Since the straw lid isn't insulated, it will keep my water very cold throughout the day, but the ice will melt. With the screw cap, I still have ice in it by the end of the day. It's durable and easy to clean, and the color is beautiful (cobalt). I would highly recommend this bottle if you don't want to spend $30-$40 dollars on another brand. I will definitely be buying this in a larger size to have in addition to this one!

the perfect bottle, great value for money
I already had a 24oz thermoflask bottle and decided to upgrade to a bigger one. I got the 40oz one and honestly it's amazing. It's the perfect size to make sure you drink enough water, keeps my water cold for many hours too. It's definitely more sturdy than the 24oz one. Overall great product, big fan of thermoflask, 100% recommend.

Brilliant!
I’ve somehow managed to just buy crappy drink bottles for more than a year until now. This is the ONE. Holds a litre. Keeps drinks cold & ice blocks ice for hours (I’m not kidding) I’m in a tropical area & working in the garden the ice blocks will still be there well after I’ve drunk the litre of water. The choice of lids is just one of those 1%ers that makes an amazing difference, it would’ve taken the designers 5 minutes but it makes a huge useability difference. I love this product. It’s brilliant. I purposefully ordered the plain white to decorate it with stickers to customise it. I’d buy a second but I can not for the life of me work out how this would break. Seriously; THE BEST DRINK BOTTLE IN THE GALAXY!

Value for money
Came with 2 lids and an extra straw. My daughter loves this and it's almost indestructible when compared to all her previous water bottles. Love it!

Best water bottle I've owned
I needed to replace my Frank Green water bottle and decided to give something new a try - thank god I did, because this water bottle is amazing. I wouldn't say the insulation is top of the market, but it keeps it cold for longer than I ever need. Great size, and the straw lid is perfect (Glad I no longer need to touch iwhere my mouth goes t to push it up and down).
