I recommend this product to anyone looking for a car mount! This works perfectly for me! It has an adjustable clamp that holds it securely to the vent, so there's no sliding around or bouncing up & down, or sagging, coming loose, nothing! Even going over pot holes the clamp has not budged! The circular head of the mount is a nice rubberized magnet & this is also adjustable, it can be moved in any direction 360 degrees & you can tighten it all the way to stay in one position, loosen it so it still moves stiffly or loosen it completely, so it has a range of options. I put the metal plate between my Samsung cell phone & the thin silicone case i have on it & the magnet mount head had no problem quickly attracting my phone straight to it, holding it there in place while i drive over potholes, bumps etc, and it does not budge! They give you the plain metal square plate you can put between your case and your phone, which i used, and they give you 2 adhesive metal plates (1 square & 1 round) if you want to stick it to your phone/case. I see all these reviews warning against the magnet & credit cards...For anyone questioning the magnet being safe, etc...the plates that stick to your phone ARE NOT MAGNETS, they are only METAL PLATES so they will not harm your credit cards, having your phone in your purse/near your wallet, etc etc The only magnet is the actual head of the car mount, so you dont want to have the wallet phone cases with the credit cards inside them & stick it to the mount, obviously, otherwise there is nothing to worry about! I closed the vent it's on so the heat isn't blowing on my cell phone so that isnt an issue. Overall, the quality of the product is excellent, in my opinion, it's the best mount I've ever owned. For less than $10, I am extremely pleased with this product!!! UPDATE: this lasted 3yrs before the clamp attached to the vent finally cracked, which I couldn't ask for more than 3yrs for less than $10! I ordered a new one, same exact model, and when I received it it seemed to be defective... the ring to tighten just kept spinning and it wouldn't stay in place. I contacted the seller and they sent me out a replacement within a few days without any hassle or any further inconvenience! Received new one with no problem and it worked just as well as my original! Highly recommend!

Awesome, best out there. It goes in the event you can tighten it so it doesn't fall out of the vent it stays in the same position I tightening another lever and you can also rotate it in different directions . It has a magnet that you can put on the back of your phone without a case I heard though that it's very difficult to take that off and that leaves a mark on your case when you eventually sell your phone . It works perfectly if you put that non- sticky magnet inside the case between the case and the back of the phone in the middle works perfectly has not fell off the magnet even after hard bumps couldn't ask for a better cell mount, shouldn't have taken this long to find one. I would suggest to not tighten the levers too hard or it's possible to damage it . Just some advice no need to it stays in place and rotates . Now the negative reviews that are very small about this product is about when it is cold out and you have the heat on it can possibly damage your phone well I have a very easy solution to that you close the vent you can close the vent in my car and still have the mount secured. So that should not be an issue at all especially if you live in the south. One of the best cheapest devices I've ever bought. It's great because it's hands-free obviously and it's below the windows so it's not easy for someone to walk past your car and see it if you happen to forget your phone in your car another advantage over having a phone mount your windshield that falls off that you need two hands to take it off it leaves marks on your windshield and blocks part of your review. * Please excuse any grammar mistakes as I was voice texting. I used this to mount over a vent in a 2020 Mustang. The various fasteners offer many possible adjustable positions, but they must be seriously tightened in order to withstand vibrations from going over bumpy roads. Overtime these will get loosen and will need re-tightening again. Overall it does its job and I can't find anything else better without blocking center console and screen. One of the holder piece broke within a year. I contacted the seller and they sent one out quickly. Definitely A+ for honoring the warranty.

I've had a few different pressure type mounts/slide mounts and they were always cheap units held together by a screw which would eventually work itself loose and prevent the holder from using any position but vertical. They also used cheap metal clips that don't fasten securely. History lesson over, I saw a neighbor with this in his car and decided to give it a whirl. I'm using a Moto Z2 with the Tumi batteries on the back. First test with the neighbors Wizgear held it without additional magnets. I decided to buy that night and was happy to see it came with more powerful magnets. I currently use both the rectangular sticky and round sticky mounted under a vinyl wrap on my batteries (picture). The supplied magnets are significantly better than just the metal battery and the phone is easy to remove. Others have reported the clamps aren't tight enough and come off with the phone, and it has happened twice to me, but considering how many times I use it, it's a really not bad. I absolutely love this thing! Now for the only bad part of the review: depending on your style of vents, this may prevent lateral movement of the vanes. I'm unable to get the passenger side to move freely due to the mechanism. In my current loaner car it's not an issue. ('07 BMW vs '18 BMW). TL;DR: pros: it works fab and is really adjustable cons: may restrict lateral air flow to one side of car for whichever vent you use

This is a well made and designed product. However, the magnet is not powerful enough to hold heavier phones. I had some problems using my IPhone XR. If you position the swivel magnet to a perfectly vertical position, the phone will at time start to slide off the magnet, especially if you drive over a bumpy road. You can avoid this by positioning the magnet so that it leans a little backwards. However, no matter how tight I tighten the back of the swivel mechanism, it does not stay in that position, and will slowly revert back to a perfectly vertical position, and then the phone will start sliding off the magnet. This can be remedied by applying a few super glue drops between the ball and the clamp once you position the magnet into the desire angle. If this problem didn't occur I would give this product a 5-star rating.

Got this yesterday and tried it out. We bought it on a Lightning Deal on Cyber Monday at a terrific price to try out something new and not being sure of how well it'd work. I opened the package, read all of the instructions and decide on using the bare plate (one w/out adhesive) in between my silicone case and my Iphone 6. I then opened the clip-on using the nut to widen and tighten the clip to the vent blades. I opened it only to the point where upon putting it on vent, it was snug, but easy to slip on. I then attached it to the vent and tightened it down. I then put my phone on it and the phone slid down about an 1/8" and the head of the mount was pulled down by the weight of the phone. I pulled it off the vent after loosening the clamp and adjusted the mount head so that it wouldn't slump after placing the phone on it. After putting the mount back on the vent, I again placed my phone on it with the same result. I then pulled the mount off again and placed my phone on it and lightly shook the mount by the clamp to imitate light bumps on the road and my iPhone fell off the mount. The vent clips seemed a bit weak and were unable to really grip the vent blades well. The magnets on the mount just didn't seem strong enough to hold the phone where I'd want it, and my little shake test showed the magnets would be unable to withstand some light road bumps. All in all, these devices are great ideas. However, this particular device seems to be lacking in some areas and I will be returning it to Amazon.

I have searched for and used all sorts of mounts. I recently ordered 3 of these. They easily attach to the vent. Simple to install using the wing nut to tighten and secure the scissor style grips to the vent. Once tight, adjust the other nut to tighten swivel head into position to receive your phone. The magnet is very strong! Infact, it clings so tightly to the metal plate (metal plate sticks to phone) that it pulled the metal plate off the phone. It appears maybe the sticky tape is not strong enough to adhere to protective phone case. I remedied this by sticky the metal plate between the phone and the phone case...problem solved. Another tip - use both hands to remove phone from the bracket or somehow find a way to hold the bracket in place as you remove the phone from the bracket for it is difficult to remove from the magnet. Overall - great product; strong and sturdy; magnet is super strong; great value! I now own 3.

This is the first phone car caddy that actually mounts and works perfectly. I'm going to buy another for my wife's car. I've owned at least 4 car phone mounts. All have been deficient in some way. The mountings were sloppy, the mounting clips for the vent weakened or the mechanics of inserting the phone and removing it were just clunky. Not so with this device. The vent clip actually clamps tightly and can easily be removed by loosening the wing nut. The magnet holds the phone securely yet it slides off with little effort. The device comes with three thin metal pieces which are what the magnet latches onto. I have a battery case on my iPhone so I peeled off the glue backing tape and stuck it onto the outside of my phone case. My phone weighs 8.0 oz. but the metal piece and the magnetic mount hold the phone securely. It has never fallen off. My wife has a regular iPhone case. For hers, I just put one of the thin metal pieces between the phone and the inside of the case. The mag mount piece is only about 2" in diameter. Without the phone mounted on it, it looks like a dash control knob. These guys got the design right. Should work for any car that has a vent! Great product. Good company. Fast service. No worries.
