    Long term quality issues

*by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2017*

I've been using this screen house for the past 6 weeks on a cross-country road trip; purchased mainly due to the decent feedback from other reviewers. The product hasn't faired well, unfortunately. Full disclosure: My usage pattern is probably more severe than most, assembling and tearing down the house about once every three days as I move campsites. It's clear that this design isn't built for long-term use. In just six weeks, I have the following issues:1. I have two rice/pea-size holes, one in each of the two triangular grey canvas areas over each door. The holes are in almost the same spot on each side of the roof. I can't confirm what caused the holes, but it must have something to do with the contact between the canvas and the poles/hub on the roof when the house is collapsed for storage. I've had to resort to two pieces of Gorilla Tape to cover these holes.2. I have three small rips in the screen fabric. Technically, I'm at fault here, but the rips illustrate a design issue with the screen house. When you collapse the house for storage, it's possible that the screen mesh will get caught between the poles as they fold together. This, in and of itself, isn't a problem. But, when you later assemble the house, you have to be sure to free the fabric caught between the poles before extending them. If you don't, the mesh rips. I have three pieces of Gorilla Tape covering the three times I made this mistake.3. The bottom 3 inches of one of the door zippers pulls apart after zipping the door closed. It appears the zipper is getting caught on a fabric edge, but I can't consistently determine where the edge is.4. One of the guy line tensioners will no longer hold tension. Looks like one of the holes in the tensioner plastic has worn enough to lose grip on the nylon cord.5. This house really needs a rainfly. The screen house does a decent job keeping most bugs out, but any windy rain storm will cause water to soak much of the items inside. The fact that the floor extends so far beyond the roofline exacerbates this problem. I'm thinking of improvising a rainfly using a tarp, but haven't tried it yet.Bottom line: It appears this product was developed for someone who might camp 2, 3, or 4 times a year, and then put the house in storage for the next year. You'd probably get 2-3 years of use with no issues in that scenario. For active campers, look elsewhere.

Great screen house, easy set-up/take down! Small bugs can get in.

*by C***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2018*

Great screen house! Purchased for camping to have a mosquito-free place to cook, eat & hang out. Worked great, fit 8 ft. picnic table (photo) with ~2-3 ft on each side and ~1ft on each end to move around. Set up and take down were super easy and fast (love the design). It fit back into carry bag easily (huge plus for transport and storage).CONS:-small gnats got through the mesh-the lip at the bottom wouldn’t stay put (ended up weighting with rocks & firewood)-storage pockets only above 1 door (wish pockets were above both doors)

The size and the design is good. However

*by T***. on Reviewed in the United States on September 11, 2017*

Bought this unit for camping. The size and the design is good. However, quality of the material is terrible. Setup was easy with the legs that telescope out. The first night went fine. On the second day, we found a better camp site, so decided to take it down and move. During the take down, one of the screws holding one of the legs sheered off at the top junction. I have never seen a screw sheer off like that. the thread was still in the outer skirt where the screw would go thru the leg and fasten to it. We duct taped it so we can still use it. On the setup at new camp site, another leg(pole) broke off at the same junction. Except this time, screw was there, but the pole itself broke off. We duct taped it again since this is all we had to protect ourselves from the pesky mosquitos. Such sub standard materials. Needlessly to say, I returned the canopy after getting home.
