I gave my sister one of my dad's old dryers as hers died and she wanted something that would last and that would work without a lot of the new gimmicks. After three years, the control knob cracked underneath and it would barely turn to allow setting selection. I looked up the model number on the manufacture website for a replacement knob and the updated part number matched the listed one on this item. I called the repair shop and they wanted 14USD for one knob and I would have to wait two weeks for delivery... so I checked here on Amazon. Two knobs for 10USD... a much better deal, so I just shipped them to her directly. She replaced it and it works better than the original... after about a month, she says she is glad that I solved her issue instead of letting her wait on her other half.... since she does several loads each day. I am rating these five stars as they fit well, they function well, and they were easy to install. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...

I tried another replacement knob before these, and it didn’t fit at all, and I had to return it. The D was too big. But these fit my GE dryer perfectly. I had resorted to just using pliers, because the original completely broke, not ideal at all. Now my dryer tiptop working again, and these knobs not even have the reinforcement sleeve as well so hopefully should last a good long time. Plus you get two. I’m quite satisfied.

So these are NOT the knobs they tell you will fit, but they worked sooooo much better than the ones you are supposed to get. I don't know how they will hold up yet so didn't speak to that, but actually fit the timer spindle properly unlike the "correct" ones. Fingers crossed I won't be replacing the timer in 14 months again because the knob was too loose to work properly and ruined it.

These are fine looking knobs, but they just don't fit! The D shaped hole in the back is not the right size at all -- way too big. I suspect these knobs are supposed to be knocking off something else and the company that's making them mixed up the part number. They definitely do not replace the GE WE1M654.

Easily replaced my original that was cracked This has an updated ring on the knob to prevent cracking in the future. Overall, this was a quick easy fix and the quality is suitable. Don’t hesitate to buy the two pack just to have on hand if you have GE appliances this looks like it would fit the washing machine which has four or five knobs Overall very happy with

This knob broke the other day and when I realized it had been less than a year since I had replaced it I did some research that would have been good to do the first time. I didn't think much of the first time this knob broke but don't be like me. First see if you need the timer switch and order them both at the same time. When the new timer switch was installed I slid one of these knobs on and it looked great and worked as needed. After my second knob broke along the flat side of the D-clip I watched some DIY dryer videos and found that I needed the "WE4M533 GE Dryer Timer" switch that this knob sits on which took about five minutes to remove and replace with a Phillips head screw driver and a small Torx driver (a single Torx screw holds the timer in place). I learned that when the knob breaks it has to do with the timer switch offering spontaneous resistance as it goes bad. Replacing the knob is an intermediate fix that will last only as long as the plastic holds its integrity despite the best efforts of the inner metal D-clip. Because I did all of this in wasteful, ignorant steps it ended up costing me a whole week when it could have only been two days of mild inconvenience. Good luck!

Knob is usable HOWEVER not a very good fit. It's loose so when you turn the knob to select the cycle, the arrow has to go past where you want it to be before working properly. Maybe a better fit for GE brand but not for Hotpoint.
