I’ve been using the TOPDON ONE for several weeks now and have been very impressed with its performance. For background, I also own higher-end scan tools, including Autel, so I wasn’t expecting to reach for the ONE as often as I do. The topology mapping is one of my favorite features and makes it easy to quickly identify module communication issues and navigate vehicle systems. The scanner has been reliable, fast, and easy to use. I’ve used it for bidirectional controls, module diagnostics, service functions, resets, relearns, and live data on a variety of vehicles. The coverage has been excellent, and the interface is intuitive enough that I can get to the information I need quickly. One thing that stands out is the value. For the price point, the ONE offers features that are often found only on much more expensive tools. It has become a regular part of my diagnostic workflow and has earned a permanent place in my toolbox. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and would recommend the TOPDON ONE to technicians, shop owners, and serious DIYers looking for a capable professional-level scan tool without spending thousands of dollars.

If you’re a do it yourself kind of person then this scanner is a must. Everything you need to troubleshoot and diagnose your vehicle CEL is on this tool. This scanner has a bunch of different features that you probably will never use but it’s there which is a good thing. Been using this scanner for about 2 months now working on my personal vehicles and doing jobs on the side for friends and clients. So far, I’ve no issues with it. It does exactly what it’s made to do. My favorite feature about this scanner is the Topology Mapping. It’s amazing how much it shows and tells you about each module in the car and where the fault is. Can’t forget about the autovin which is a time saver. The smaller scan tools I have don’t auto detect vins and it’s dreadful to type in manually lol. The bidirectional feature on this scanner is a life saver at testing individual modules. I would say that this is the only reason I got this tool. If used correctly it’ll save you a lot of time and help tremendously with diagnosing issues. Not to mention the AI Assistant feature, something I rarely used just because I like to figure things out on my own, but it’s there to make the job easier. Overall, so far I’ve had no issues with this scanner. It’s well built and the interface is user friendly. It comes in a nice case with accessories. I’m happy with this scanner and will provide an update if any issues arises. So far it’s well worth it.

This scanner “Topdon One” keeps up with my high end scanners sn$p on and laun$h as well as my aute! . Quick scans of all systems with topology , allowing you to go into each system and find faults . Updates over wifi quick and easy . Works on all foreign and domestic vehicles. Over 50 reset functions from oil life to throttle adaptations . As a professional technician there hasn’t been anything it wasn’t capable of that I e needed it to do so far . The Bluetooth dongle is especially helpful when I need to command functions outside of the car ! 10/10 would recommend to casual users and professionals!

I have used many different scan tools and own quite a few. The Topdon ONE has become my go-to scan tool in the shop. When you get the tool it will come in a very high quality hard case. I love that the tool comes with an obd2 extension cable. I like running it allowing the obd dongle to hang down so its harder to miss and leave in a car. The hardware is excellent quality just as I expect from Topdon. the screen is large and bright. The edges of the tablet have rubber bumpers making it rugged enough for shop use. Topology has become one of my favorite scan tool features and Topdon's Topology screen is great. Knowing what modules are talking and what ones are not communicating is a great feature. The system scan feature is fast. I like being able to run a report and then email the report to myself with all the vehicle data and codes. Bidirecitonal control works well. This tool will rival many other tools as far as functionality for a fraction of the price. I did have a couple small glitches when I first got it but nothing major and within a day, an update had come out that took care of the issue. Data speeds are fast and give a quality data set. The scan tool having J2534 capabilites is a huge advantage as programming has become a nessecary in today's automotive repair shops. Topdon has knocked it out of the park with this tool. It has features typically found in much more expensive tools for a DIY budget. It doesnt matter if you just want to work on your personal vehicles or you do diagnostics daily in a shop setting, you will find the Topdon ONE a must have tool.

Coming from a Phoenix Plus, it's a nice, comparable, well built unit. The renewal cost is $299/year, cheaper than the Phoenix Plus, more service functions, and the AI assistant is a nice touch. That will help many diy guys do actual diagnosis vs the old parts cannon strategy. Tsb are a nice, but janky inclusion. And as much as it annoys the parts store employees, remember, codes are not part numbers. It's a direction to go in. Test, don't guess. I knocked off 1 star for 1 petty reason: it read my 2013 f150 vin, but couldn't decode it, so I had to go el' manual style. It's a brand new platform, and I did report the bug to Topdon. They are pretty good at getting updates out. FWIW, you may find other, more, shall we say, popular manufacturers on here. Know this: they are NOT supported by the manufacturers, (I've emailed several to ask specifically about that) and if you need AutoAuth, good luck. Topdon doesn't play that game, though. You buy on Amazon, it's the same manufacturers warranty and service. Autoauth works. If you want a Launch or Autel, I recommend AES wave, or any USA distributor, not on here.

Absolutely awesome tool , user friendly the Topology is a must for modern technicians, who deal with communication issues, the tools design makes its screen large enough to be seen easily, the features of being able to email and print , along with QR code to forward to customers easily, very simple and convenient to use, the battery stays charged…… very happy with this tool

A great bidirectional scanner very fast and responsive operation. Easy to use, and provides usage tips for different buttons and their purpose. Huge screen has superb quality and visibility. I was using it in direct sunlight and had no problems reading the screen. There are several hot tests with accurate testing, as well as, AI repair assistance for DTCs. Comes in a pretty hefty hardcover, with two accessory compartments for cord storage and additional items. Lot of great features on this unit, including the lift to wake the screen option. Hands down one of the best units I've used! Definitely 10 out of 10 for price compared to function capability.

This scanner has impressed me quite nicely as I use it daily. Has ability to graph 12 pids on one screen. Also can merge up to four at the same time. Very durable and feels great in the hands even at this price point. Topdon has done a fantastic job job with this scanner. Battery will last for days and can be used on most makes and models. Display is very large and easy to navigate. Can be used for j2534 pass thru and comes with top fix AI to assist in repair which I find useful. Also ability to search Tsb information. This diagnostic machine does far more than I can try to explain. 50+ resets, VAG guided functions. Scanner also has ability to secure gateway access.

I used it on my personal car,(vw passat B8 -2021.) it has great functions, resets systems, I am satisfied.

It’s been brilliant for module adaptations, resets and coding jobs that cheaper scanners simply can’t touch. Having FCA, Renault, VAG SFD and SGW access built in is a huge bonus — no messing around with extra tools just to get into locked systems. The OE‑style topology map is genuinely useful. Seeing the whole vehicle network laid out visually helps spot communication issues quickly, and the TopFix AI suggestions are surprisingly accurate when you’re narrowing down a fault. It doesn’t replace proper diagnostics, but it definitely speeds up the process. Build quality is solid. The wireless VCI connection has been stable every time I’ve used it, and the battery life is good enough to get through a full day of mixed jobs without constantly charging.

TOPDON ONE 10.1" Bidirectional Car Diagnostic Tool, J2534 Pass-Thru: Even though I have some knowledge of this stuff, I found that this had things going on with it and access that I did not know was possible at a consumer level. If you are not a professional or business owner buying this for your garage, you will then likely be someone that wants to get hands on down to the near DNA of what makes your car work. There are still levels and things that this can’t do but this is leaps ahead of other things on the market. I’m going to say at this point though, the only thing to watch out for is that if you are not earning money through it in your business, paying hundreds+ for the annual subscription will get old really quick. I know this brings a lot of value that I can use now or will be beneficial in the future, but I will have to think about the other devices I currently have to offset the costs. Either that or I do the odd repairs for my neighbours to cover the annual costs. The case it comes in is actually fantastic but let’s bypass that. For me this offers 2.1” more screen space than my previous one which is always good but depends on how it is utilised. Thankfully the OS makes use of it with large and clear icons where necessary and sharp details where it is needed. This is heaps faster, zipping through menus and scans in half the time that my other professional grade scanner does. It has more than double the battery life, not that I have ever needed more but it is nice to have just in case. Features that help me to replace ECU modules and code parts to cars could really come in handy down the line instead of paying someone else to do it. Its all here in one device, with an AI to assist. It wasn’t so long ago that I would spend months browsing years of posts on forums to learn about a fix before attempting it myself. Here, all that research isn’t necessary any more. Knowing how much time and money I have spent on doing up cars, repairing them and researching them, if I had this in my early 20's, I probably could have earned myself a good reputation and a nice little earner, whilst saving time to still enjoy life, if I had this to hand.
