Very happy with this item. Works well for a number of different uses like in the kitchen. Looks very smart and is good quality. Works easy and easy to control the flame. Easy to light and works first time every time.

It works beautifully. Nice stable base. Using it to seal the ends of terylene line. 30 lengths time two ends. Also does a mean crème brûlée.

This kitchen torch has been excellent from the first fill. I’ve filled and refilled it several times now and had no leakage at all - it seals properly and feels secure during the refill process, which makes a big difference compared to some cheaper torches. The flame control is very impressive. The thumbwheel adjustment allows you to go from a small, precise pinpoint flame for delicate jobs like crème brûlée, right up to a strong, powerful jet for lighting the BBQ or my wood burner. The adjustment feels smooth and genuinely controllable rather than jumping from low to extreme. Ignition is instant and reliable every time. The piezo system sparks first click without hesitation, even after sitting unused for a while. That reliability is exactly what you want, especially when using it outdoors. Build quality is very good. It feels solid and well made in the hand, with a comfortable grip and sturdy metal head. It does not feel flimsy or toy-like. Gas capacity also seems generous - it lasts well between refills, even with regular kitchen and BBQ use. Overall, a powerful, windproof and genuinely versatile torch that performs equally well in the kitchen, workshop or garden.

I picked up this MR.COUNT kitchen torch mainly for crème brûlée and searing steaks, but it’s quickly turned into one of those “grab it for everything” tools. It feels reassuringly solid in the hand – quite weighty thanks to the metal body, but still comfortable to hold, with a nice non-slip grip so it doesn’t feel like it’ll slip even when your hands are a bit greasy in the kitchen. The jet flame is seriously punchy and very focused: it lights instantly with the piezo ignition and stays stable even when I tilt it at awkward angles or use it outdoors in the wind to light the BBQ. The adjustable thumbwheel actually makes a big difference in real use – I can dial it right down to a tight little flame for delicate jobs like finishing meringue, or crank it up for searing, browning, or heat-shrinking cable. The safety lock is firm enough that kids won’t accidentally trigger it, but still easy enough to flick off one-handed once you’re used to it. Refilling with standard butane is straightforward (it does come empty, so you’ll need gas ready), and so far it’s held gas well between uses with no leaks or random sputtering. I’ve used it for cooking, lighting the fire pit, and a bit of quick DIY on heat-shrink tubing and it hasn’t missed a beat. For the price, it feels like a properly made, multi-purpose torch rather than a flimsy novelty lighter, and I’m very happy with it.

Alles top funktioniert perfekt

Produit esthétiquement parlant superbe. Belle présentation dans un coffret je dirais de luxe. A l’usage est plus proche d’un chalumeau de bricolage à flamme bleue plutôt que dispenseur de flamme volante; très utile pour crèmes brûlées et flambage des plumes résiduelles sur une volaille. Il pourrait y avoir un système de bague coulissante sur les évents pour régler la puissance de sortie de la flamme. Je le fais avec mes doigts (photos). Dommage qu’il y ait une notice d’instruction en chinois et en anglais. Un lien de traduction multilingue, sur le Web, eut été sympa pour ceux qui ne parlent pas l’anglais.
