I tried and tried but could not make it sound that much better than my $150 Yamaha mixer. The Ashly mixer may be a revelation for someone in a super-critical listening environment but, for mixing live keys the extra $400 bought very few benefits I'm the type that will return an item without hesitation if I'm not feelin' it.
