This is the third one I’ve ordered for the last bedroom I have redone in my old home. They are light weight, easy to install, great on a dimmer, and definitely worth the price. Does not seem to collect much dust either as my first one has been up over a year. Gives off excellent light. Personally, I really like these.

The final product looks beautiful and the diffused light looks much better than the “boob light” that was there before. However, installing it was a pain in the ass. The instructions weren’t entirely clear and it took me an hour to install it as opposed to other reviews saying twenty minutes. It was worth it though, it fits great with my decor and completed the space exactly how I envisioned.

Pros: Looks nice once installed Cons: Multiple issues with design, materials, and instructions that made installation way harder than it needed to be for an older electric box setup The fixture itself is attractive once I FINALLY got it installed, and the price was good for what you get aesthetically (~$22 each when I ordered). However, the lack of usable instructions and the incorrectly-sized mounting screws detracted most of the value for me, and this was one of the most irritating light fixture replacement experiences I ever had (and I’ve done close to a dozen around the house). The instructions are literally just a diagram of the fixture with zero steps on actually installing it (besides “turn off the power”) so if you haven’t installed a light before these instructions are totally useless, especially since the fixture mostly comes pre-assembled. Additionally, the mounting screws are WAAYYYY too long to be usable in older electrical boxes, since the mounting screw heads butt up directly against the box frame due to the way the mounting plate has to be installed, so they can’t be adjusted inside the box. It required a trip to Home Depot and a lot of trial-and-error to find screws that would work (M4-20mm machine screws; we also used 1 M4-16mm since one box was a little crooked). The screws it comes with are more than double that length (the shorter bronze screws aren’t the correct thread for the cap screws…and still too long). The last thing for me was that the glass shade screws directly up into the fixture after the bulbs are put in, which means you can’t really see where the screw is at or how far it’s screwed in while you’re screwing it on, and there’s also the risk of accidentally unscrewing the chrome end caps in the process and the whole shade assembly tumbling to the floor while trying to put it on or take it back off to replace bulbs. Needless to say, that made me uncomfortable about the security of the glass shade cover, but they seem to be holding. Overall, I doubt I would have bought these if I knew how much of a hassle they’d end up being to install, but now that they’re up there they look nice. They do require smaller A15 bulbs (as opposed to normal A19 bulbs) with a 60W max, so the lights are on the dim side, but perhaps if I’d bought daylight instead of soft white bulbs that wouldn’t be an issue, and I don’t necessarily fault the fixture for that.

These are good light fixtures. Have had them over a year now with no issues and they provide good light with the light bulbs I am using

Worked for 2 months perfectly and now flickers to the point where it's intolerable. I now need to buy another brand new light after paying close to $100 for this one. Poor value.

I really like this light. I have it in the kitchen. What makes the light soft and spread evenly is that it is not flush with the ceiling but lower. This allows not only direct light through the frosted glass shade but also reflected light bouncing off the ceiling. This helps to spread an even and soft light particularly if your ceiling is white. I am particularly happy with this light and it makes the kitchen light with few if any shadows. I do think it could be used anywhere in your home. It is an attractive fixture, aesthetically pleasing. Installation is fairly simple but will depend on your existing ceiling setup but they are pretty standard. My advice is to take it slowly to avoid mistakes. Everything was the correct fit. One of the best buys this year and I thought the price was fair. In my case, I have Amazon packages delivered to my local Canada Post Office for security reasons and the vendor forgot to put my name on the package! This could have ended up with the parcel being returned but I got down to the P.O. in time - this is a reminder to Amazon to see that packages are properly addressed. Sorry for the longish review but this item is a 'buy' without reservation.
