These are great red LED flashlights, perfect for walking around at night at star parties or when setting up or tearing down your telescope and other astronomy equipment. I really like that you can focus or expand the area being illuminated. However, these are BRIGHT! Be careful where you shine these at night. You will ruin someone's dark adapted vision if you shine this light up at them. I keep it in the most narrow focused position and zoom out if needed. If you are looking to use this light to read star atlases, look elsewhere - this light is too bright and you will lose your dark adapted vision.

Really bright. I learned in the Army that red light does not screw up your night vision. These flashlights are really bright. I put 3 triple A batteries in one and a rechargeable 18650 in the other. Not much difference in brightness. Thse will be an important part of my home security collection. Might buy 2 more for our cars.

I would like to say that from my time in using it, it worked quite well and I am pleased with the purchase. Although it did have some issues due to the light being too bright. A lot of the time that won't be an issue depending on what you're using it for, but animals were able to notice it quite easily during a nature walk.

Pretty good light beam which is easily adjusted for near or far. This was bought to look at turtles trying to nest on beaches of florida. Turtle season you are required to only use red lights on beach at night which does not disturb the turtles laying eggs. Perfect light for watching turtles if that's what your looking for.

Nice red color beam flash light if I zoom in can shine trees whith ease 80-90 yards away . heck of a value this light also has I brighter spot beem zoomed in 3\4 of the way then a light I have that cost way more money that I wish I wouda bought this aukvi light first I wouda saved mony .also when i zoom in to about mid way makes decent walking light but didnt buy for that bought for coon hunting just to shine trees whith it will be more then capable for that...and I'm more then confident this light should be a nice pocket back up if my mane white light fails to help me see my way out of woods ... Very good materials. Body of the flashlight is machined aluminum and weighs around 6oz. Comes with a 620nm/350ma red LED and PCB with resistors only and no annoying flashing mode IC so also opens the option to swap in other LEDs. Overall very good and should run for a long time on a battery.

This is an awesome light if you want something to help your night vision, but also ignite the night. This would be great for camping or hiking, but if you're planning to use this for anything close range (like within 5-10 ft of your eyes), it is painfully bright. I haven't had it long enough to vouch for battery life. So this seems like a great flashlight, but unfortunately for my purposes (lighting a telescope viewing area) it was far too bright.

Functionality of these red LED flashlights is great. Value for the money for two of these was right on point. I would definitely buy again. Zoom feature was awesome when trying to find rodents hiding in my fruit trees. Battery life was as expected and lasted quite a while.
