White, not yellow - 5x8 Not Legal - but good notepads
These are good little notepads with a lousy description. They are white (as pictured), not yellow as stated. They are also 5x8 as stated, not "legal size" as the name implies. So, look at the picture and read the dimensions and that's what you get. They are a little thinner (less pages) then others I have, but most my pads get tossed when they get down to a few pages anyway. They are only lined on ONE SIDE, it that matters to you. I found it odd, but when I think about it, I rarely write on the back. The bundle is a nice bundle for an office/class supply closet. Each pad is individually wrapped in cellophane that MIGHT keep them from yellowing, but I don't know. That'll take a long time to learn. We use a lot of note pads (my wife the list maker) but it will still take a while to get through them, so yay. BUT, that cellophane might get a little aggravating as well because you have to find the corner and peel it open (or cut it) and often I'm grabbing a pad to jot down notes in a hurry and having to work through the cellophane wrap is going to be aggravating. Just a consideration. The paper might be a little thin, but not a problem and the tear off easily. The top perforation is about a quarter inch down from the binding though, which leaves an odd amount of paper "hanging" at the top after a page is torn off. Other pads tear right at the perforation. But, in the end, this size pad is generally for quick notes that get torn off and pitched. If you're really OCD (like my wife) you can tear the pieces off closer to the binding. They do the job and would probably be ideal for a low volume environment where they might be sitting in the closet a while. For a high volume office, I think the cellophane will provoke some unpleasantries.
