MAY NOT BE A DROP IN REPLACEMENT.This review is for those users who are looking at purchase, or have installed their display only to find that their graphics/PDF's are not displaying properly.I bought this item which is advertised as a drop in replacement. It is possible that NIUTOP has not identified a drop in replacement for the CMOS serial flash. The original flash on my broken display is an MX25L2005ZNI-12G, whereas the replacement display was shipped with an MX25L2006EZI-12G. Comparing the datasheets for these two parts reveals several discrepancies in key timing requirements, and more importantly, clocking speed, that could account for the display's inability to properly render grayscale graphics. Unfortunately the only resolutions for this are either a custom Firmware build that can support the 2006 flash chip, replacing the flash chip on the display assembly, or receiving a correctly manufactured display with a drop in replacement for the OEM part.UPDATE 8/8: I replaced the flash with a Winbond comp, but am still having an issue. This points to the display having proprietary or custom waveform requirements that may not match OEM specifications. My advice would be to plug in your replacement display and cycle the sleep switch a couple times before installing the panel in the housing.The only possible solution, aside from replacing the screen again is to use a custom firmware build that sets the display properly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you need it, this is a good product to go with *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2016* I have had it for ~3 months now installed...the product is what it says it should be, does what it claims it should do, and works like it claims it should work. The main thing to take away from this review is that I'm not an automated robot, our overloaded brethren are at the flesh masters will whim, and we need to make a 1000 five star reviews for every single 1.1 through 5.4 version model that has been captured.
