AmLactin Ultra Smoothing

I battle eczema on my palms and feet, and use a high level cortisone topical from my dermatologist, and alone that was not enough. Amlactin 15% used daily (especially following hand washing) has been so effective. I use the cortisone cream much less frequently, and when I do, it penetrates better because there is no build up of dried, flaky skin. Yes, this has a slight odor on application (not bad in my opinion) but it dissipates quickly; not sticky when applied sparingly. The key is to use Amlactin products routinely; if you are sensitive, try the lower percentage products first, and move to the 15% products later. Great products that are effective, accessible and affordable.

I love this & have been using it for over 10 yrs. It's great for very dry skin. It is very rich so I don't need much for each application & it makes my skin feel very smooth. I usually use it at night on my hands, since I wash them so often throughout the day. I have used it on other areas, but it gets expensive if I use it as a whole body lotion. It does last quite awhile. I've used other forms of Amlactin that don't smell too good, but as concentrated as this is, it doesn't have a strong odor. I'm very happy with the quality & results.

I’ve been using this hand cream regularly and have been very happy with the results. My hands feel much softer and smoother, especially in areas that tend to get dry and rough. The cream absorbs well without feeling overly greasy, and a small amount goes a long way. After a few weeks of use, I noticed a clear improvement in the texture of my skin. I would definitely purchase it again.

I like majority of the Amlactin lotions for tackling my KP bumps, but this one would be my least favorite. It gets the job done, but the isnt anything “ultra” about the results. I would suggest getting the daily instead if you hate feeling sticky/greasy after application. This one leaves me greasy until the following day, but I’m still giving it 4 stars because it gets the job done.

Wonderful cream for flaky skin. My dermatologist recommended it. Careful not to get it in an open sore or scratch. It burns! It does NOT burm on regular. Even flaky skin. Really works well.

I have tried everything for my daughter’s KP over the past 6 years (she is 9 now). Now that she is older, she picks at her KP bumps as a nervous habit or perhaps an ADHD sensory thing? Either way, this stuff works the best out of ANYTHING else I’ve tried. I’ve tried numerous creams, lotions, body washes by Cerave, prescriptions sent in by the doctors, Neutrogena, etc. I’ve even tried Clean & Clear salicylic acid spot treatment (helps some when put directly on bumps but doesn’t help with the overall issue). In my mind, I’ve been so silently worried about how the KP will affect her self confidence as she gets older. This DRASTICALLY minimizes the bumps, evens out her skin tone (takes away that ruddy, irritated look) and reveals the beautiful ivory skin she has underneath the KP. She doesn’t like the smell of course, but she has gotten used to the smells of the lotions she has to use over the years because she can see the difference it makes. Warning though, it does make her skin VERY sensitive to the sun, and she is already has very fair skin, so I do recommend using it more sparingly in the summer and always use sunscreen. We usually apply it nightly after her shower. Sometimes, during bad flare ups, she will apply again in the morning before school, but not often. Taking medium temp or cooler showers greatly helps keep her KP down as well (not lava showers like my son and I do lol). To me, this product is completely worth the price. One bottle lasts about 2 months for us.

Updated review 3/22/24 I ordered another of my beloved Amlactin. The tube now has a different look, but I didn’t expect the product to be different. It has an odor which in the many decades I have been using this, I have never smelled. It is gooier and sticky where it used to be creamy and sink in quickly. It leaves a slick of residue on my hands. I used to be able to apply it and the only thing I felt was relief, not a feeling like petroleum jelly would leave behind. I really hope I received a bad tube and that this is not the new, ongoing formula. My dry skin is a real problem and I hate to think that now I need to go through a time-consuming and costly search for a new product. Often a product changes if an ingredient is outlawed or no longer available or just to make a cheaper product, keep the price the same and increase profits. I really hope this is not the last reason. This product is great. I have very, beyond very, dry skin. My heels used to crack and bleed (sorry, gross). If I use this even once a day, twice is better, it makes a world of difference. I use it as a hand cream during the winter. Use it wherever you need it. It’s not thick and doesn’t have scent. I haven’t used it on my face, so I can’t comment on that. I have been using it for so long, I can’t remember when I started. I highly recommend it. It can be hard to find in drugstores. I’m glad Amazon offers it.

My husband’s dermatologist first told my husband about this lotion, as he was having issues with the bottom of his feet peeling and drying out. After having it for about a week. I touched his feet in bed and immediately asked why they were so baby soft. At this point, I started using this on my very dry feet, arms, legs, and hands. Wow!! I am constantly amazed at how GREAT this lotion truly is. Since my dry skin problem has been ongoing for years, I have tried over 50 different lotions, and none worked until I tried this kind of AmLactin. I don’t see how anyone could be disappointed after using AmLactin. Amazing!! Amazing!!!!

I only received one bottle, not six!

This is misleading / fraudulent to me. The website says pack of six, why did I get one only??? Please I think it's better to update the website so you don't keep disappointing people expectations.

Works phenomenally. I wasn't able to "cure" my KP, but it does make my skin really smooth after just one application. The only thing is that it's really thick, so you use a lot. The smell is.. not great but it's not vomit-inducing, either, and you can't smell it after maybe 10 minutes (I recruited an independent third-party nose to confirm).

My daughter had a patch of allergy bumps on her leg and it helped soften and smoothen the patch

I have been looking for weeks for this body cream and glad found this particular seller who sells this here. Been using this body cream when I was living in an Asian country and it helps resolve my skin problems. I have a very dry and scaly skin and this always keeps my skin moisturized and bouncy.
